If you hit up Washington Avenue, The Landing, Soulard, Central West End, and the Loop and come up empty...there's always the East Side!!! :)

Fast Eddie's is kinda far but has casino nearby if some were interested.

Downtown there's Maggie O'Brien's, Hard Rock, Hooters, I'd say Shannon's but it would be too crowded probably. Lumiere has a decent sportsbar too.

Tons of places in Soulard.

Closer to the airport I'm not sure of any places besides Westport or St. Chuck. St. Chuck has Dave and Busters that can get expensive though. Hot Shots, Sidepockets.

its good, but not very close.

but i have no idea what is around downtown anymore. no one goes there.
Must disagree. I am always downtown hanging out. Some of my favorite spots are down there. Of course having buddies that live in the lofts help out with me being down there. Some great places to take it easy and watch the parade of girls go by on a Fri or Sat night. Plenty of places down in Soulard as well that we could meet. I know my normal after game spot of Patty O's will not lend to the discussion atmosphere it seems we are looking for.

I've been chatting up some about this very subject. Realistically, it needs to be pretty dang close (walk?) to BIII, I think.

That is thinking, not knowing, but a lot (most) will have arrived by Metro Link. Had discussed Patty O's. It's close, expanded, and will be noisy, but see "close".

With the possible consumption of man juice, the less driving the better. Once again, JMHO.

Dave and Busters is in Earth City, not St. Charles.

Hard to beat the convenience of Paddy O's. It is a bit noisy but you can talk in small groups. Meeting elsewhere could present some problems for some of us out of towners as we don't know our way around town. Sometimes it can be hard enought to find the interstate when leaving the stadium for us dummies. If we decide to go elsewhere I hope we don't lose anybody. I do know that years ago I used to enjoy Johnnies in Soulard. Love the hot wings at Johnnies and the scenery was always good.

The hooters is no longer at Union Station. It moved to Keener (no idea how to spell it) about 5 years ago.

Battra's Official St. Louis City Denzien/Expert Opinion:

The Schalfly Tap Room.

#1 GOOD beer...after drinking Bud Swill, we can all have a couple pints of quality stuff.

#2 Spacious place and we'll be able to get all of us together.

#3 They don't blare music so we'll be able to talk.

#4 They do have food, should anyone need a bite, but it's not the best in the world.

#5 It's located Downtown very near to places like Paddie O's and Union Station, which have already been mentioned.

#6 If you poopoo this place, you're automatically in Al Qaeda. (I was surprised too!)

I am not a drinker anymore, but am up for a short sojourn to a place where we could gather and hear each other without yelling in your ear. My hearing ain't what it used to be so in a real loud place I can't make good conversation. I have a 2+ hour drive and have to work the next day, so as long as it's not real late, I'm game.

About a 15 min walk. I do everything downtown in walking times. It amazes me how people drive such short distances down there just so they can walk 50 ft to the door. I know some people have medical conditions or are just to old do to that anymore. Im 34 and walk anywhere I can.

I don't mind walking 15 blocks to go somewhere, but that walk back sucks, especially if you've had a few. Seems like always get lost.

Coastal, it seems like Schlaflys is going to work out pretty well for the after party. I hear Lumieres sports bar is pretty keen. Depending on when you get in town, the Metro Link will drop you off very near there. If I come in town early, I might check it out myself.

The Blues do a post game show from there after home games. The guy in charge of their security is a good friend of a friend. Maybe he can fix me up with a hooker...I mean a free drink! :ph43r:
