Well squirrel brain scrambled eggs is also an alternative Roy! Lots of protein and if you keep the brains properly it should feed a small army of Legendites!

Who eats Doritos with salsa?

Doritos are chips and salsa with salsa in powered salt form.

Naw, just chillaxing.

Battra, I eat Doritos straight out of the bag myself. I was just giving options that don't take long for an easy multi-course dinner ;) .

Wait..

I don't think Doritos and Salsa is a multi-course meal.

That's as silly as what I had for lunch the other day...

Chili with Chili Cheese Fritos in it.

Don't do that.

With regret I don't think I'm going to make to the compound party. I had high hopes I would have a job by now. I'm still working on it and I have plan, that I think it working. I suggest hot dog for dinner.

I was thinking grill food and maybe a 6 foot sub and some sides. I'm planning on going food shopping Friday before the gig.

I can do a lot of chicken brats on the barbie and still fully participate along with some of my world famous cilantro potato salad and baked beans. Some skrat cobbler for dessert.

You know I'll grab ice cream, as well as some Rooster chili garlic sauce. Still thinking about what I can grab and prepare in a short period of time. Garlic vodka sauce, chip dip of some sort, ingredients for waffle ice cream dessert.

Gotta have deviled eggs (hint, hint to those who live close).

I agree with NC. Don't worry about doing much of anything. I may bring something with me. I'll talk to you later on it.

I make a mean queso blanco dip and deviled eggs as well. Please don't misinterpret what I'm saying here. I have noooo problem fixing some great grub, it's just that when I do ribs I tend the smoker like you would your first date. That would preclude a lot of my telling lies with everyone else.

Proposed Menu:

BBQ chicken
Andoulie brats
Cilantro potato salad
Grilled corn on the cob
Deviled eggs
Queso blanco dip

It would be swell if someone brings chips and whatever other treats (ice cream, etc) that lifts your skirt but I got main courses covered. It would also be swell for those intending to bring something to let me know so we don't end up with 137 tubes of pringles, one bag of tortilla chips, and 3 buns for the brats.

Also, as it gets closer an accurate roster of mooks attending would be great, as well as those brave enough to stay overnight.

Acceptable menu? Does that include stuff that is agreeable with everyone's gastronomical compatibility? :unsure:

Sounds fine, it looks like the NC/Rube contingent will be arriving mid-afternoon so helping out is no problem. I just didn't want to take away from anyones fellowship time. Thanks roy.

Yes.

We moved up to the barn??? That's a LOT better than having to pack up 6 hours of SCUBA tanks per person and sleeping at the bottom of the lake, THANKS!!!!

Still awaiting a 100% confirmation from Rubicon on 0-1-2 people but NC and son of NC will be there regardless. We plan on crashing in Memphis on Thursday and coming up through the back roads (US 63) coming through Jonesboro, AK & West Plains, MO. Google has it as a 5 1/2 hour ride so mid afternoon is realistic I guess.

Thursday = 700 miles
Friday = 300 miles
Saturday = 125 miles
Sunday = 750 miles

1800 miles +/- to meet & see you bunch of jamokes??? What an idiot I am :blink: :wacko: :blink: :wacko: :blink: :wacko:

That bloke looks familiar. :O

Sorry but I have no such hat. Down here if you have a hat and don't own a ranch you are forever known as "all hat and no cattle"! :(

I have a wonderful agreement with horses. I stay far away from them and they, in turn, don't try to hurt me.
