There is a pretty HUGE A/V lag.

I thought it was pretty good.

I will be busy with Arkham Asylum this week. In my absence here's a new gif to keep you entertained.

"Nothing's really perfect"

Really?

Imagine how much better it would have been without the robo-genitals, dog sex, generi-plot, racism, lack of character development, lack of actual humor, plot devices dropping in and out at random, lack of character motivation and lack of bullshit explanation of why Sam doesn't want to hang out with the autobots.

I say this not as a Transformers fan, but as a film fan — outside of the some of the special effects this movie was dog shit.

As a Transformers fan, I really, really wanted the film to be good, not just enjoy it. I even made some concessions to my tastes and sensibilities right after viewing it, and tried to rationalize it as good. However, when asked casually tonight how the movie was by one of my friends, I casually replied "it wasn't very good." This response kind of surprised me, but my gut reaction is that it is not a good film, and I think this is true. I did enjoy parts of it, mostly the forest scene and Ravage scene. So it was at least a "visually stunning" bad film, but a bad film nonetheless.

Even though they made a ton of money, which guarantees a third movie, does anyone think that because of the negative reviews that they will either fire Bay or respond by ocusing more on the characters and story?
