Hello. I have started a new project. Using some sophisticated (and expensive) programs, I am able to take screenshots from the land before time videos, modify them, and then convert them to icon format. I hope this project of mine doesn't fizzle out like others have. I have only made one so far cuz it's a pain in the butt and I just bought the last program required to make transparent icons (so there's no dumb white background on the images). Anyway, I hope you like it. I'll make more ASAP. This is one of Cera. Looks pretty good on my desktop! http://files.filefront.com//;7913151;;/ |

Oh. I forgot to mention, if you have less than 500mhz on your computer (which I'm sure everyone here has well over that), you shouldn't put these Icons on your desktop. Unlike regular icons ie. my computer, internet explorer, my documents, these images are about 30 times larger than regular icons. Loading them while starting up a computer with 500mhz or less would be a living (I think you know the rest of the sentance). Just wanted to give anyone who may have a really old computer a heads up.

Sounds like an interesting project. I personally wouldn't be interested in using LBT icons, nor excessively large icons. I don't have the spare computing power for toys; I try to keep this system running as barebones as I can for an all-purpose machine. It's hard enough to keep this thing clean. I can't wait to get a new system... I do like the idea though, and I appreciate the warning on the amount of resources they will take up. I'm sure you'll get quite a few interested people! |

I didn't mean to scare anyone. I put 30 of the same icon on a computer with 700mhz and 128mb ram (that's a very old system for those of you who don't know). I got no speed reduction at all. I put it on an old 500mhz one though and it increased startup time by 10 minutes! Anyway, for 99% of you, these icons won't be a problem. Action9000's case is a little unique. He actually does important stuff on his system that takes up a LOT of power and speed. I can see why he doesn't want them on his desktop. If I were him, I wouldn't either. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I don't want you to be frightened of downloading these icons thinking it'll slow your computer down to crap. It won't unless you have a really old system or you do a lot of stuff like Action9000. Here's the icon on my desktop BTW: As you can see, my desktop's a mess again. LOL. |

Okay. I got another one done. This one's of Ducky. http://files.filefront.com//;7913608;;/ I don't have this one on my desktop yet cuz I haven't decided which icon I want to replace yet. And the fact that I created this icon less than 2 minutes ago and I haven't experimented with it yet.

Just made another one folks! I can't make them in sequence like that though. It took a lot out of my computer to make them like 1 minute apart. I didn't give it sufficient time to process the information. Anyway, I have never seen a icon with Guido so here ya go! http://files.filefront.com//;7913664;;/ |

Yes, that's a new Pokemon!

Hmm, I noticed a little folder on your thing that says "poke" underneath it. Does that contain the stuff I made? ![]() It seems that I need a certian program to download these. All I get is a weird text message on Word and a blank image.

you can't open them with any application. You have to set it to see it. do this by right clicking the icon you want to change, going to properities, clicking the costomise tab and then click change icon and find it on your computer. |

Oh. I forgot to mention that the method described above is only to change the icon on a folder. It's a little more complex if you want to change icons like "My Computer", and "Internet Explorer". If ya wanna do this, just tell me and I'll walk ya through it.

Okay. I have chosen where to put my new icons. This is just to show everyone here what they acutally look like. man, these things are hard to make... No wonder they don't have very many icons out there for free. Who would want to do this for nothing? I'm just doing it cuz I want them for myself and I figure, what the heck, why not share them with you guys? I'll keep spewing them out but I'll be pretty busy tomorrow doing a garage sale so don't expect much from me tomorrow.

Okay. To clear up any confusion, I created a video tutorial on how to change your existing icon to one of my LBT icons. It's step by step so it should be pretty easy to follow. http://files.filefront.com//;7914004;;/ Sorry if I sound confused in it. I was trying to hold the camcorder steady with my right hand, move the mouse with my left hand, pay attention to what I'm saying, try to remember all of the steps, remember to say it as I do it, and keep track of time so I didn't create this huge freaking video that I would have to wait for an hour to upload all at the same time. I'm not good at multi-tasking so this was really hard for me.

Okay. Here's one of Petrie. I can't even express to you how hard that one was. Petrie is just a really hard character to do. I don't think I'll be doing any more of him unless it is specifically requested. Anyway, here it is: http://files.filefront.com//;7914196;;/ |

Until now, I never noticed how infrequently they show the whole Spike. It's always half of a Spike or Spike with a tail that's off the screen. I just can't find a decent picture of Spike to make into an icon! I'll keep searching though. |

These are really cool The field of LBT icons creating has recieved much more attention of lately after years in which there existed only one set of LBT icons. Are you going to create icons of Spike, Chomper, and Ruby too? |
