Have you guys seen it? I kind of liked it when I was a kid, it rarely showed on CN though, but when it did I always tried to tape it =P

It's a complete rip off of lbt, but it had its own merits.

I've never heard of it. What was it like? I read a Wikipedia article, but you know how that goes.... It wasn't very informative, anyway, but from what I heard, it was indeed a spoof-off. "Dinosaur Valley" indeed. <_<

I've seen it, used to love it. It was a lot like Land Before Time, basically. It had some differences though, such as, though rarely, the meat-eaters did speak.

It also, like LBT, taught different morals, like don't judge someone by their appearance, and how lying can get you into trouble.

My personal favorite episode was the one with Scratcher. He was a raptor who was raised as a plant-eater. He befriends Scat (the "Petrie" of the series, though he was a compsognathus) but soon runs away to become a real predator. The carnivore who is teaching him tells him to eat Scat, but Scratcher refuses and lets Scat go. Furious the dinosaur shouts "YOU'RE NO HUNTER!" and attacks Scratcher.

In the end I think Dink and the others save them, and the predator falls into quicksand. But instead of just leaving him, Dink decides to help him and, together, they free the predator.

Still me inside but different on the outside
I got very few episode of Dink the Little Dinosaur. They scattered on half dozen or so video tapes that when it was out on TV Dad recorded it and funny enough it was airing on CBBC right till just after 2003 repeats of course. that changed when they brought out all those new rubbish new children programs that really I dislike. The old cartoons they kept reairing on CBBC I use to love to watch no matter how old I was. they was just amazing shows that could even be watched by adults. but these new ones... they bring me shivers down my spine, they just crap, these new CBBC and CITV cartoons that they have no real rating since only little kids watch it.

They should reair all the old cartoons, todays kids would love them just as much as we did.

I've never seen it and I don't plan to. LBT is the only kid show I actually like. Other stuff is just...well...let's just say that I've grown out of the other stuff. Nothing holds any appeal to me anymore except for LBT.

Dink The Little Dinosaur was actually a good show. Too bad it didn't air for too long. You should give it a chance.

I've never seen it. Only dinosaur cartoon I remember is Denver the Last Dinosaur(I think that's what it was called at least.)I'd probably check out Dink the little Dinosaur if they have any videos of it on Youtube.

I'm a historian. I MUST be like that!

I wish I could watch Dink :(
VHS wouldn't work on the video recorders over here though. I hope that somebody will some day put in on youtube or else a DvD will be released.

Actually I think it is the other way round. Unless I'm very mistaken the Dink movies were created in 1989, after the original land before time movie but before the LBT sequels, the first of which was released in 1994. From what I hear about the content it appears that Dink inspired some of the sequels. It would be really interesting to see this source material for the creators of LBT.

What's wrong with it? They're usually pretty easy to fix unless ya smash them to bits. ;)

Well it hadn't been playing so good. Hard to explain. I can't get it to work now because we have a DVD Recorder hooked up now.

Try cleaning the heads of your VCR, with one of those tapes used to clean them, don't know how they're called.

Well, there are many similarities between the sequels and Dink, that's highly possible. I think I have a couple of tapes of him, I'll have to check, the problem is most of my tapes have mold and don't work anymore \:

It was a great show, I only hope it comes out on DVD.

I've seen some episodes long ago, but don't remember much of the show. I do remember it came on pretty early here. I do remember they had Amber, a flyer, Dink, a little sharptooth or he looked like a small sharptooth, can't recall if he was or not, I assume not, forgot his and the flyer's names.

I heard a lot about Dink but never saw an episode. I hope to get that chance some day but after years of not getting any chance I am a little pessimistic about ever getting that chance :(

Hello:
I think that with me it was all the opposite way than most of you, I began watching Dink, the Little Dinosaur and some years later I got to see TLBT. Dink was a great show, not the best animation but much better than most of the actual cartoons, they teached morals and was very fun to see.
Now that I got to see a chapter of TLBT serie about the river goes dry, it was just like a Dink's episode, but Dink solved it in half the time :p (10 minutes).
I'd really to see Dink again.

I think I saw Dink before I ever heard of LBT. Though I don't remember much about Dink at all since I've not seen it in so long.

Hello:
When I first saw TLBT's cover at first I thought it was a Dink's movie :D . Then some time after that I saw a part of it and I couldn't take it out of my head because I had to leave (the scene when that Pteranodon gives that cherrie to Littlefoot). Whn I could finally see it I really enjoyed the movie, and it is still one of my big favourites.
I still remember Dink and I have recorded some of the episodes, and I hope someone could post DInk's chapters somewhere, and I don't have any problem to watch it in english B) .
