I've started on a new project, but it's confusing to say the least! I was thinking about making a new LBT taskbar, start button, and start menu, but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be! I finally made a theme, but it's all screwed up:![]() And no, I didn't change my background again. This was on an older computer of mine. Anyways, I hope I can figure this out. It'll be real cool! It's very stressful though cuz I keep making a million changes to my registry and installing patches from microsoft, but I'll get it down eventually. Hope To release a version soon!

That looks, erm, terrible. Yeah, you definitely need to fix it. If you fix it, try not to include any stretched images (keep them in the original aspect ratio) and make it easy to install (as in, NO TUNE-UP UTILITIES!), like that Zune thing you provided a link to in a different topic. |

Hoooooooly Crap!!! I'm too scared of my own ignorance to continue. I made a finalized version, but it's not too good. It's still better than my simple "black xp" version though so I'm gonna keep it. Here's how it looks:![]() That's the best I can do at current. I have also yet to find a way to apply it except through the program "windows blinds", but I'll find another way eventually. ![]() It surprisingly looks a lot better than it does in the photo. |

The black letters on the black background with Littlefoot on the Start menu doesn't go good. |

To be crudely honest: I can't read a darn thing on those menus. |

Well, I fixed the start button now and I switched a few things around. How's this? Is it better?![]() I did some contrasting to make it easier to see. How's that Petire? If you notice, the top banner of the start menu uses the same background as the link banner in my signature.

Not bad. However, it doesn't seem "LBT enough", if you know what I mean. Mabey it's the taskbar? And while the start menu button is more legible, it still has some ugly lines on it. |

I was looking for something a little more smooth for the taskbar. You can also see the remnants on the right side of the taskbar and on the bottom of the first menu when you click the start button. On the other hand, I like how the images blend togther on the first menu of the start button. It doesn't look stretched (is it?). Overall, t still needs some more work, though. |

How's this one? I've changed some things like I've added boxes around the "standby" and "shutdown" commands and I've added a windows vista logo to the start button. I have also altered the taskbar for Manny, but I still have some work to do with it in photoshop. Anything else?

Lucky Break! I just found a freeware version of windows blinds! It's much easier than tune up utilities was. Just install and literally 2 clicks later, you can apply the theme. Not hard at all, I promise. Would anyone be interested in a more "moderate" release of the theme? I mean, just the modified start button and everything else regular. I personally find that Littlefoot start button to be awesome as heck, but I dunno if you'd want that alone or with the other pictures. I can give anyone all or part of the theme. Just ask me! Go download a free version of windows blinds to install the theme. The only thing about the free version is whenever you start the computer, a little message pops up asking you if you want to register. Just click no. It doesn't slow down the computer at all! Enjoy!

Aww, man. You mean you can't set it up where you just click on an install EXE to install it, like Zune? |

It's not looking promising. Not even the tuneup utilities program will recognize the theme. You have to use windows blinds. It's much better than the tuneup utilities though. Very simple and easy. ![]() I will have an download link available for both the program and the visual style soon. ![]() EDIT: I found something that seems promising! I have to try it out first though. I hope it works! If I am sucessful, you'll be able to install it as easily as the zune theme was and you'll have the capabilities to use any future themes I create.
