I don't typically read for recreation, so I chose non-fiction as the first genre, science fiction as the second since I liked the star wars books, and fantasy as a third because I've liked one fantasy book so far that I've been forced to read. I've never liked any other type of genre at all. |

Maybe it really happened. What was shown was an actual documentary. Though I guess it was filmed in a universe where everything is animated, or it was a broken documentary camera that rendered everything it filmed to their animated versions. |

And how many rabbits were interviewed about their thoughts on El-ahrairah? No way to label Watership down a non-fiction or a documentary even if the rabbits were not to anthropomorphized as much as in case of some other story. A non-fiction is the kind of literature which can be regarded primarily as facts (and opinions etc. are supposed to be labeled as such). Non-fiction is the stuff you read to learn or the kind of stuff which you can quote in scientific essays. |

In order: Horror, Sci-Fi, and Mystery. I do like Fantasy, but it's too wide a genre for me to vote for (there's a lot of fantasy I don't care for). I'm more into horror and sci-fi myself, I love spooky things. I love speculative fiction, too, I love how sci-fi speculates on where we'll be going and what the future will be like. I especially love the nature of fear, I love the analyze why something scares us and what it means. That's why I love horror. Also, there's this whole big theory of thanatos in horror that I won't bore you with but it's a big factor in why I love the genre XD Stephen King has a nice foreward in one of his short story books that is a good one-sentence go on the subject:
As for mystery, well I picked that because I like True Crime. Granted, that would be non-fiction, but I don't like most non-fiction. Mystery tends to be a bit of both so I let it count for the True Crime genre. |

I picked non-fiction, horror and humor. Non-fiction: I like documentaries, especially ones regarding crimes. Horror: Gotta love to get spooked out . Humor: Comic relief is a necessity when all ya read involves horror and other creepy themes. |
