I know what you're probably thinking, a topic like this should be in a differant subforum, but I think the subject will be more talked about than the program itself.

I've recently seen TV ads about a program called "Life After People" that will be on the History Channel on Monday, 1/21/08 at 9 p.m. EST and will run for two hours. I decided to mention this ahead of time because I think some of you might find it interesting. Basically, it will be about what would happen to everything humanity created if every single human on the planet ceased to exist. You could think of it as a real life version of the movie 'I Am Legend', only there is absolutly no humans left alive. I've seen on the TV ads things like fameous structures covered in numerous plants and tall skyscrapers collapsing.

I find this subject quite interesting. What are your thoughts on it?

I read about this in one of the science magainzes I subscribe to a few months ago and they had it on science friday a month or so after that. It was an interesting article. It's based on a book as I recall. How things would start to break down at certain rates, whole ecosystems would change.

Found the link to the science friday broadcast if any are interested. You can listen to it by streaming or download it.

No offense, but it seems pretty boring. If we all died all of a sudden, life would continue normally. Nature would take over all the crap we've built and animals would rule the world again. It's not that hard to imagine. It's not like we've never seen this before. We've all seen ancient man-built structures being taken over by nature. Our larger statues and buildings will be no different. The world would probably be a better place if humans went extinct. It would take care of global warming, or at least slow it down. Over a long period of time, all the pollution would go away. The world would be purely natural again.
