Personally, I highly enjoy slasher films. Yes, I'll admit, they aren't always great filmmaking, but they just personally entertain me. I even love the sequels. My top 5 slasher films: 1. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master 2. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child 3. Prom Night (1980 version, the remake sucked.) 4. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers 5. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Odd choices, even for those of you who enjoy slasher flicks. So, what are your thoughts on slasher films, and for those of you who enjoy them, what are your favorites? |

I am kinda into slasher flicks myself. 1. Halloween 2. Nightmare on Elm Street 3. Scream 4. Child's play(This counts as a "Slasher" flick right. I get confused with "Slasher" and "Horror"0 |

I hate slasher films, to be honest. To me, they're gross and scary, and they make me lose my appetite, along with any other horror film out there. |

I don't like them. The plot and such doesn't interest me at all, though it does some folks. As long as I don't have to watch them, that is ok. There is some for the folks that do. I don't find them scary, just a genre that doesn't interest me. |

Bump. Other slasher movies I'm a big fan of: The Final Destination trilogy (At least I consider them slashers.) The Sleepaway Camp series. Terror Train Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan |

I hate slasher films. Too much blood and not enough plot. And 1 last statement: I see enough gore as an EMT! |

Don't like slasher films. I like my films to have plot, and not an obscenely high body count.. |

That's why decent slasher films are so hard to come across. Not enough plot and too many stupid characters :bang. |

I also hate slasher flicks. The only one I ever really liked was the original Halloween, and that was because intelligent thought was actually put into it. |

I hate the basic slasher genre, but some original movies I thought make good horror movies in my opinion: Halloween (+H20) Scream (saw only 1 & 2) These movies had a good storyline to them, but when some movies end up with more than 3 sequels, it seriously takes away my interest. I just don't like the senseless surreal gore in movies. |
