Google has officially the creation of an operation system to be released within the next year, Google Chrome OS http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/int...-chrome-os.html What do you guys think? I'm a bit hesitant, the chrome browser was horrible when they first released, I used it for two hours before switching to firefox. Now though its my primary browser, so I'm not sure what to think about Google products. |

This defiantly depends on, what kind of person you are. To me, it sounds like a new version of Ubuntu or Fedora Core, but instead of being build over the Linux code, is instead build over the net. How they're gonna do that, beats me. I don't think I'm ever going to use it. It doesn't suite my requiments of a operation system. If you use Google Chrome OS, you're a person you uses the net so regulary, that you're constantly online. If you use Mac, you're the kind of person who makes work your life, and media/sound is part of your work. If you use Windows, then you either have a lot of media, work or just a lot of computer games. Linux is best as servers. It all depends on what kind of person you are, and what you need. I need a Windows, both for work and games. Therefore I'll probably never need anything else.
So the question is, what is it, YOU require from a OS? |

Look up for assorted pro-Ducky avatars.

I was told about this, and I think I'll pass. I used their browser like once, didn't like it. Even though it's going to use open-source software, which I've always been attracted to, I think I'll stick to Windows. |

Crap. Netbooks? I was hoping I might be able to dump windows within the next 5 years or so. But maybe it'll evolve even more. If it's actually going to be a free OS that would be great. Then again, if it's free I doubt they can surpass MS. I have mixed feelings about this. I'll try it when it comes out. |
