This is a really simple game. Just name an item that you think a wizard would have, and give a quick explanation as to why he would have it. I'll start. -Magic Wand: Used to aid in casting spells. |

The good kind of evil.
|
Shelf - the all important place where one keeps all their ingredients for potions or spells, depending on the type of wizard. A good wizard always has his shelf handy at all times, a sane wizard uses a bag instead. |

(I think of a wizard using a cabinet just as much as he would a shelf. ) Crystal Ball: Used for him to see the past, present, future, or whatever the plot of a story needs him to see. |

Until he loses the key to the cabinet, and then he's screwed... oh wait, he'd just use magic. Man... what a cheat. Anywho... Robe - The casual garb for your average wizard. Comes in many colors and patterns, typically denoting his profession... and stages of wear and tear, typically showing his experience, allegiance, and overall willingness to just go out and buy a new one. |

A Book! a book! How could anyone forget a book? ![]() Probably a book that contains alot of magic spells, tells of other sorts of mythical critters, how to brew potions, stuff like that! May also contain dark magic however. Be warned!

A skull. Can't have an evil wizard without a skull on his desk. It's probably used as a focus for evil magic. ... or maybe just a real exotic paperweight. |

All the glass (or crystal) vials, test-tubes and other alchemist equipment filled with colorful, steaming, and potentially lethal (or life-saving) potions of all kind along with all the odd ingredients they consist of. Also add various wooden or metal symbols amulets etc. many of which include signs which the "muggles" won't have a clue about. I think a lot would also depend on what kind of magic is to be practiced. For a magician whose magic is mostly focused on nature or music based magic plants and music instruments which one might find in other non magic households as well might be found, a magician who studies with a focus on healing or causing wounds may have some corpse (human or not) stored in his laboratory, one with a focus on magical artifacts would probably pile up said artifacts (or artifacts which he or she yet means to bewitch) etc. |

Spiky, demonic looking armor for the wizard that wants to loom over his easily conquered muggle subjects. Armor also protects better than a robe. (Unless the robe's enchanted, but then you could just enchant the armor too.) |

(I think we said cauldron twice. No matter.) That magic conical hat wizards are often shown wearing, like in that Fantasia sequence with Mickey Mouse and the brooms. I might start adding pictures of some of this stuff, as we all have some really good ideas. |

Oh, like Cedric from King's Quest five... who happens to be a wizard's familiar. ![]() How about a magical pouch/bag that can hold whatever the wizard needs, no matter how large it is? |

Like the Xian skull from Exile/Avernum 3? How about a magical map that teleports the user to wherever he points to on it? It saves a lot of money on airline tickets. |

Nah, even though I have no idea about what that game(s) is. Talking skull, his name is Murray....has spoken to Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate, on multiple occasions ![]() A black cat, if you're the witch variant of a wizard. Makes for a good pet....and a guard animal too!
