Well, he hasn't shown up since I rejected his attempt, so I must've done somethin' right. Whether or not anyone believes what I said, I know what I saw, and I'm not off my rocker <_<. |

This is just a story I found on Creepypasta, and it's a long one but I found it quite scary so I thought this thread seemed the best place to share it:

^ That is extremely creepy and disturbing. If I could, I would put the unsure smilie, but it is not showing up. I have a new occurrence. I find that, every time I walk out of my house, suddenly I hear footsteps inside, and a door or two opens and closes. When I go back inside, everything is quiet. I check around to see if anybody is there and I find nothing. I'm not sure what to think of this, but it is strange. |

Oh man! It's been a while! Anyway, right after I woke up, I heard a man whisper "Hey Ali" and it sounded like it was from right at my door. And there's no one named Ali at my home and the voice sounded nothing like someone I knew. Boy did it freak me out!

Sorry I didn't see this until now, but it sounds like it was just a benign spirit trying to get your attention. Nothing to worry about ;). If it was a malevolent spirit or worse, a demon, you would have to be worried because they tend to become more and more aggressive. This one happened last week, and man did it freak me out. I had a premonition of danger or even disaster, and even though I have had these before, it still shook me up. On Monday night, I had a nightmare that, as I was walking out to a parking lot to my car, a small convertible exploded and destroyed four other cars (three of which were SUVs) and damaged two other cars. Nobody was in or around the cars at the time. My car was parked in the back of the parking lot away from other cars, which is how I park in real life. Then, I woke up. Nothing happened until Wednesday morning. I had plans to go somewhere with someone, but I had a sick feeling in my stomach and my gut told me to not go. I had to work that afternoon, and when I got to work, I saw a convertible that looked like a car bomb had gone off in it. It turns out the car caught fire and exploded. Five cars were destroyed and two more were damaged. It turns out, these were the same cars I saw in my dream two nights before :o. Like my dream, nobody was in or around the cars when this happened, and it just happened before I got to work. That gave me chills like I hadn't felt in a good long time . This isn't the first time, like I said, that this has happened. I saw my car accident happen in my dreams a month beore it happened back in 2005, and back in 2000 I saw my grandparents' house get destroyed by a storm three weeks before it happened. I even saw everything that would get destroyed within the house :crazy. And don't get me going on the countless times deceased people have shown up in my dreams to give me a heads up about the near future. |

I've had a handful of paranormal experiences: When I was real little, I once stayed in the spare bedroom of my grandparents' house. I turned out the light, plopped into bed, and started to go to sleep. Then I suddenly heard this inhuman voice whisper right in my freaking ear: "Be a good little boy." I even felt the breath of whatever it was when it did that. I did not sleep in that room or the rest of the night. I went downstairs and made myself comfy on a couch and was left alone. Scary thing is, that is not the last thing that would happen in that room. Years later, I actually forgot the incident, and I ended up staying over at their house again and in that room again. This time I had a friend with me. He had brought along the movie "Pretty Woman". Yes, that is significent. We each took a different bed in that room, and the instant we turned out the lights, something began throwing objects around the room. We turned on the light and saw nothing. But different things that had once been orderly were strewn all over the place. We didn't know what to make of it, but we didn't have time to think about it. The light turned out on it's own and something pulled the bedsheet off me. I turned the light on again. Nothing. We noticed that the one item that had moved the most both times. Pretty Woman had been flung across the room against the door. The second time the lights went out, we had both heard something banging agaist the door. So I got the idea of removing the movie from the room. After that, the thing that's up there did not act up again. It just wanted that admittedly less than moral movie out of its room. Grandpa and Grandma never believed me, and I remembered why I hated staying in that room in the first place. This whole thing reads like a creepypasta, but I assure you it's true. Pretty Woman is about a prostitute that starts dating a rich man. Whatever is in that room really hated it. The rest of the house is never bothered, just that room. EDIT: THere have been a few other incidents in that room, but nothing as distinctly threatening as those two. |

Your soul.... is MINE!!!

I'm not sure what happened and I can't explain it, so I'mma post it here. So I have this Spider-Man Green Goblin figure, a very stable toy on a display. When I went to bed last night, the figure was upright as usual. But when I woke up, Gobby was turned towards me and positioned on his side. It startled me cause his face was the first thing I saw waking up. Something had to have moved that toy to position it that way; the toy is physically incapable of falling over on its own. I stay up late every night so I'm the last to fall asleep, and I'm usually among the first to wake up. Nobody came into my room at all. Just in case, I asked my sister and mom and they said they haven't been in my room, much less touched my stuff. I believe them because they had no reason to lie and they never had any interest in any of my collections. I'm still not sure what caused Gobby to knock over like that and it freaks me out... |

Could you have rolled over in your sleep and your arm knocked it over or something? |

No. It's quite a distance from my bed. I tried to think of everything. The toy's too heavy for a draft or wind or something to knock it over. I can't reach it from my bed and even tried hitting it with my blanket in case the blanket managed to reach while I slept. It didn't work. To test out my figure and make sure it wasn't broken or anything, I tried to knock it over from its upright position. It slides a bit, but I can't get it to knock over on its side like it was before because the wing of the Green Goblin's glider kept it from 'falling' all the way before gravity pushed it back upright. I had to physically lift it off the stand and put it on it's side to work. I'm totally scared now. Any suggestions on what else I can to do debunk it? I already think this house is haunted and I reeeeaaaaallllllly don't want full-on proof of that.

Whoa! It's been a while. So anyway, I was browsing DeviantArt and I hear a low growl that lasted for like, a minute or two. For some odd reason, I wasn't scared. I just continued to do my thing. But that didn't stop me from listening. It may have been one of my dogs, but one thing disturbs me. Both of my dogs were in the living room. That growl came from right next to me on my bed.

Growling noises come from malevolent spirits. Did you check first to make sure there was nothing in the wall or right outside your bedroom? How about an air vent close to your bed? As for me, I woke up last night with that sick feeling something is about to happen. I kept waking up last night with it, and it still continues to remain and it is growing stronger with time. It is a sick feeling, so most likely it could be bad news I could learn :neutral. So far today has been uneventful, which is good. |

Yes, I checked my wall, but alas, like all other friggin paranormal encounters, no one was there. But I didn't really check the outsides, I was too tired. :/ Like I said, the growling didn't really scare me for some reason. :/ |

I remember one day last summer, we were hanging out in the woods in Moscow suburbs with my GF and her sister. We knew there was a pets cemetery in a ruined house on the forest border and went there to investigate. When we approached the remains of the building we heard a lot of quiet noises coming from the inside - growls, howls, squeal... But when we came close enough to see, what had been happening inside - the place fell silent and there was noone inside. We didn't see any dogs or other kind of anilams running away either. Spooky, huh?

@Trulyfantasticme, it was most likely just a benign presence then, since you felt no fear. @Coyote_A: What in the name of Hades were y'all thinkin'? Didn't Stephen King tell you not to play around in a pet cemetery :p? Or, should I say pet "sematary" :lol. This one has been going on over the past couple of days, and it is really bugging me. Going on four nights ago, I had a dream in which someone I've been estranged from for years showed up and asked me for forgiveness, apologizing for how they treated me when I was growing up (this is someone in my family). I told them I forgive them, and they said that's all they wanted from me. I thought this was just one of my typical dreams which are made up of metaphors and symbolisms, but then the next night I had a dream in which I found out from a cousin that this person had died in a car accident on their way to work. I then jerked out of my sleep with that sick feeling a premonition comes along with, and I could not fall back asleep. Ever since this dream happened, I've been carrying that sick, nagging feeling around, and it has moments where it's stronger than normal. I believe I've ruled other unfortunate events ruled out. Yesterday, my brother was attacked by a dog, but he's okay and thankfully does not need medical attention. Then today, an F-18 fighter jet crashed into an apartment complex just a couple of blocks from my workplace. Miraculously, both pilots safely ejected and NOBODY was killed or critically injured :wow. People I work with live in that area, but thankfully everyone was accounted for. The feeling still remains, though. I have a bad feeling this person may die in a car crash. Strangely enough, a couple of months ago, a relative had a dream of someone dying in a car accident and went through the same thing of waking up and feeling disturbed. This individual I had the dream about lives in DC and is perhaps the world's worst driver, having been in a few fender benders and other accidents over the years. I'm surprised they still have a license :crazy. |

Cancerian Tiger, that was exactly why we came to that old farm in the first place. ![]() Oh, BTW. Something odd had happened to me this morning. I was waken up at around 4 AM by the sound of music. Took me a few moments to recognise the ringtone of my very own cellphone. I've stood up and turned the lights on. When I picked up the phone I was surprised to learn that not only wasn't it receiving any calls, it was in fact trying to reach some obscure number. Aside from the fact that the phone isn't supposed to play music when you're calling someone and that it tried to phone someone on it's own, I should also add that I always turn off the sound on my phone before going to bed. But the mystery doesn't end there. You see, my first reaction was to turn the darned device off so that it wouldn't wake up people sleeping nextdoor. And the moment I pressed the "turn off" button, the screen went blank and the lights in the room went black for a few moments... What do you recon was that? O.o |

Dude, that is really creepy . Seems like some benign force obviously wanted your attention, whatever it is. It is said benign spirits have a tendency to become more aggressive with their acitivity until they have your attention. Many times, they're just playing practical jokes to spook living people. Since, from what I'm reading, there was no threat to you (i.e. growling sounds, physical contact, etc.), that's probably what it was. Just a prankster :p. |

Whoa! Its been a while since I last posted here, hasn't it? Anyway, it was 5:30 in the morning. My mom's stupid alarm woke me up, so I went to turn the stupid thing off. I then realized something; I had to go to the bathroom. I was just about to open the door and all of a sudden, the door starts shaking for about a few seconds. But I open it up anyways and check for the source. Of course, there was nothing there. No one was using the bathroom so it couldn't have been my family. It couldn't have been the wind because the window was shut. It couldn't have been the cats, because...how the heck can a cat shake a door? That makes no sense. It couldn't have been an earthquake because I would have felt it too. Usually we get around 2.0 earthquakes. An earthquake that small could not shake a door like that. And plus if it could, probably everything else would have been shakey as well. Was I scared? No, not really. I'm kinda getting used to these ghost encounters and I think I'm actually starting to enjoy them. After all, nothing really happens here and it's nice to have a little twist every now and then.

Your soul.... is MINE!!!

Okay, now I'm starting to get more than a little frightened. Something happened just moments ago... Alright, I'm home alone right now; my family's out getting ready for my sister's graduation stuff (probably another award ceremony thing). As always, I choose to stay home and take advantage of the peace and quiet. Anyway, I'm in my room, reading one of my comics when I heard my mom's voice yell my name from downstairs. I'm hardwired to respond (especially since my mom's very impatient when she has to call us more than once) and I got quite irritated as I'm not fond of having my relaxation interrupted. Without even thinking, I got out of bed, walked over to the stairs and yelled back to my mom, asking what she wanted. I got no response and I went downstairs. It was then that I remembered that I'm by myself right now. I'm getting worried. I couldn't bring myself to finish my comic and I went straight here to post. I'm freaked out, especially since I read that an entity (especially demons....) will mimic the voice of a loved one in order to get you to interact with them. I read you're supposed to ignore it and not respond, but I forgot that I'm here alone and that voice was so clear and so spot-on with my mother's usual call that I didn't know better. I responded to the voice, and now I'm scared... Maybe I should follow WeirdRaptor's advice and contact a priest; but I don't wanna upset my family, and I don't wanna be too drastic just in case this isn't what I think it is. Cancerian Tiger, you seem quite knowledgable in these things, any idea what it could be? |
