I have many favorite cheeses but I'll just put in three. My third favorite would have to be Swiss cheese! Those holes and that white color gives it a unique look and is perfect for sandwiches. It doesn't have much of a smell but its still gooooood! My second favorite is Acapella which is a soft cheese made from goat's milk. Acapella comes in different forms such as: Pyramid, round(my personal favorite) and ashed round! My absolute favorite is Amish Bleu Cheese straight from Wisconsin!:wub I'll take Bleu Cheese over Cracker Barrel anyday! I use most of my other cheeses for lasagna. I'll use my Bleu cheese for what I call; "The Double Bleu Boiger Deluxe!" I'll use Swiss for my "Chicken Oogafredo Swisso!" And For Acapella I'll just eat it with ham and crackers as a snack! So...Whats your fav cheeses and do you a have any recipes for it? |

I love cheese as long as it's not too stinky. I like sharp cheddar and pepper jack in my mac & cheese. Parmesan, romano and asiago are faves too. Yum. I tend to prefer the hard cheeses to the soft, but my favorite soft cheese is chevre (goat's milk) with plenty of herbs and garlic.

Lol, swiss cheese....:p Anyway, Feta, Mozarella and since it IS a Swiss cheese and is something we use a lot for fondue; Gruyeré. ![]() Indeed, on the subject of Switzerland and cheese....if anyone ever has the chance to visit Switzerland and goes to Gruyeré visit the cheese factory (and then go to the chocolate factory too), it's awesome and you do get free cheese.;) Edit: Saft can't spell.

^ Lol... I actually said: lol, swiss cheese...:p since I live in Switzerland..it's just a bit weird for me to see swiss cheese called swiss cheese..since they actually have names here. I think the 'hole' swiss cheese is called Emmental but it is called in America and possibly Britain; 'Swiss' cheese. Are you familiar that Cheddar cheese was originally made in Britain? And that it has been produced since the 12th century that there is even a chance that the Romans may have brought the 'recipe' over with them when they came over. Probably not but the history addict in me likes to point out usless facts.:p Edit: Especially when it has something to do with the Romans..
