OK everyone, tomorrow I'm getting LASIK done on my eyes to get rid of my glasses. As per any surgery I receive, I'm somewhat nervous about it, but I think it'll be fine. I'll be out of commission reading wise for a day or two, so just bear with me while I convalesce, and I'll be back to posting once I'm good to go! |

Good luck with the surgery, Pterano. A few family members of mine have had the same procedure done and they saw great improvement. As soon as you have recovered, let us know how everything went.

I hope your surgery goes well, Pterano. I hope you make a good recovery after the surgery is over. After you recover, you'll have perfect vision.

Ahh! I hope everything goes as well for you as it did for me. You're probably not gonna be able to read for 3 days, at least not without hurting your eyes. Get some audiobooks or good friends around to kill time! Good luck! Take your time recovering, keep those eyes moist and clean and have fun without your glasses!

Well my surgery has gone well. I've been restored to 20/20 vision, though computer screens still kind of strain my eyes, so I'm gonna continue taking it easy for now until I feel more comfortable with them. I'll probably only pop on for brief periods of time until then. Thanks for the well wishes, everyone.

Hello: I am very happy that your surgery went right . As for screen monitors, I agree that you need to wait for a little while before you restart using PCs for longer times, but you can always get filters and/or glasses that could help you with the strain.

Glad the operation went well. Guess it'll be a few days or a week before your eyes have healed and adjusted enough for you to use the computer monitor again. |

Well I woke up today and it was like night and day. No longer feel any headaches looking at screens, and my eyes are practically good as new! I think I'm back in business!

^ For sure! I'm also GLAD to be done with all the eye drops, and needing to wear that eye shield at night. Glad it's behind me and the first week is over. That was the LONGEST week of my life, or at least it felt that way.
