rev limiter at 5000rpm any1 know if its removeable

Hi guys. My 1.6 8v seat has some sort of rev limiter that kicks in at 5000rpm in all 5 gears. Does anyone know if this is normal or if its fitted with a limiter that's removable because its really annoying. Cheers

vr6 nutter with mk1 distraction..
try a new rotor arm.

spring in it has probably gone a bit weak , making it cut in too early...

Not done nothing yet. Sounds like that post that jon boy put up cos like once a day when I depress the clutch to stop t car cuts out n if it don't cut out the idle drops to between 500 n 800 rpm. Gonna get a new rotor arm n dizzy cover ordered tomorrow from my mate at mpd

Air leaks are my job for tomorrow bro n not driven yet since new cap n arm. Hopefully go for a lil rag tomo after sortin air leaks :D
