alright guys,

a few mounths ago, i picked up my new car, a 1.9tdi bora sport, 115 pd. had some problems in previous weeks (headgasket, clutch) :(, now a very nice car.

apart from this anoying intermitent fault.

Noticed it before my clutch went, and been happening for a few weeks now, not all the time, but when i want power it lacks it for a while then kicks in but not at full potential. When in perfrect gear ratios etc when car is running fine it pulls well but later it lacks power, really fustrating.

a month or so ago i got it plugged in and a intermitant fault came up as "engine fuel temp sensor(code unknown)" would this cause the problem? or could it be the MAF sensor or anything else?

if this has happened to any of you mk4 owners or ayone else, any help would be much appreciated,

regards, Craig

check the dipstick for mayonnaise if theres some on there don't eat it.... an it usualy means head gasket gone if not take it to a garage an they can put exhaust probe in expansion tank with engine running an sniff for emissions (sniffer test)
