That looks really nice mate! :thumbup Personally I would go back to a standard grill with spots and a red surround, really suits darker couloured mk2's, but I'm not a fan of the bonnet lip's to b honest. At the end of the day you have to decide what you like best tho mate! |

Yea i think it has to be the old grill. It looks better i think with the red strip and 16v badge. :thumbdown And besides coming home accross the forest at nightime i cant see bugger all with single headlights    :chav: I dont know if any of you guys know the 10 bends in brockenhurst on the way from Sway, but its a 'fun' road trying yo do fast when you cant see anything :D |

Nice mk2 mate! I'd either stick with the current grill or put the 4 spot one back on. Dont like the Jetta fronts though personally, though a rallye front is a different story! ;) Welcome to the forum! Can't believe you had a vr at 19  I only just got my 16v at that age! a vr would have crippled me, and probably still would on insurance at 21! |

Thanks for the warm welcome! aimee said she couldnt believe i had a vr6 at 19, so i thought i'd add a few pics. I sold her because i only got 19mpg on average because the engine sounded so nice i thrashed it everywhere until i got pulled over on way back from Rice and thought i'd better sell it. My insurance was with Adrian Flux with two years no claims and it worked out at £171 per month!!! Which was mad! Posted Image You can just make out my red mk2 8v in background which i sold to a guy in Bransgore Posted Image The red 8v is more visable in this one. My cars drive my parents mad, but my excuse is that i dont hardly drink or smoke, and i work bloody hard for them so why shouldn't i have them? Posted Image The vr6 definately was my favourite engine, but the mk2 golf gti is the best handling!! :D |
