basically car idles an runs perfectly fine but when left overnight/ for period im at work it dosent idle off the key.( get in turn the key revs up to 1rpm an cuts out) but when i get in with accelerator pinned to floor an turn key so it bounce's the rev limiter 3 times an ease off its fine any idea's ????

your ment to put foot to floor and then off then start it it gives it that extra fuel to start. you might have a sticky choke |

Some say bouncing the car off the limiter from cold is a bad idea. I'm glad it helps yours run better though. |

you dont start it with foot flat to the floor. just squirts extra fuel for starting just give carb a clean and go from there Edited by mk2matt, 16 Nov 2011, 02:39 PM.

Could be a faulty hall sender on you dizzy,I had similar issues with my old mk2f, imunsure what model yours is, i know its a common problem with them, i took a new plug off a 6n and crimped it on and did just fine :) |
