Well got two new shocks from the back from GSF for my Mk3 TDi and planning to get them on the car this weekend. (Piss off rain).

But I do have one or two problems I hope do have a quick fix.

The golfs rear windows do not operate and the drivers side just makes noises while the passagers doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

Also picked up a spoiler that was said to be from a VR6 which has three bolts in it where the TDi has no place on its boot lid for these. My mate says rip them out and use mastic, recommended?

Also looking into new alloys for the car, have grown a liking to the Mk2 BBS rims that came standard on the GTi's but found some 17ins on ebay that i like the look of. How badly would they mess up with the TDi?

look for a gti rear hatch to fit the spoiler if wanted to bolt it on, can bond it on but best get the good mastic window stuff

The wires for the windows tend to break where they go through the door.

Window regulators on mk3's seem to go pretty easily. As Stef says, check the wiring first, but then I'd guess at the regulators.
