Just got a new laptop a week ago, and though it is primarily for work, how can I not play some games on it? Sooo, can I have a list of games you all would suggest for PC and the genre and why? |

Dragon age origins Its an rpg with a very gripping plot and motif Make sure you have time on your hands cause this game is 60+ hrs not for an action junky because there will be times where you will just be advancing the plot along with dialog. This game is one of the most interesting and deep games i have ever played the combat system is incredibly smooth and innovative. the approval system with your allys is pretty cool um lets see graphics good. ony get it if your into fantasy and can sit through a long story (its a great story btw) |

I'm a big fan of RPGs, especially blended with other type of genres. Examples are Fallout 3, Mass Effect looks interesting, just not sure if I'd like it, may look up some vids. |

Mass Effect is brilliant, really, at least in my opinion. If you don't mind slightly older stuff, check out Thief Deadly Shadows, I had a lot of fun playing that. Prince of Persia the Sands of Time is also suprisingly nice. Warrior Within is decent but can be infuriating at times. Hmm, and I rather liked Half Life 2 + episodes 1 and 2 as well if you haven't played those trough yet. *scratches head* I probably could come up with a few more but I'll leave it at this for now. |

The Last Remnant was.....interesting. I never completed it, didn't have time but the graphics are nice (it's a SquareEnix game after all). It's a kinda...jrpg with some strategy elements to it I suppose. Assassins Creed 1&2 (2 is way better tho) and Prototype (by boyfriend played Prototype when he was here....he seemed to enjoy it anyway) Anno 1404 (or any other number, they're pretty much all the same just different graphics ) and Settlers for when you wanna play some uuuh...those kinda games. Sims 3 for when you just want to be lazy and play a game without a story XD Runes of Magic if you want to play an mmo, it's a pretty decent free mmorpg. Diablo 2 ofcourse, it's always a good option Mass Effect 1 & 2 |

Well, for somebody as inexperienced as you, I would suggest a childrens game. Until you get the hang of typing on one of those interweb machines, at least. |

I would recommend Mount and Blade. It has elements of RPG and there are lots of Mods for it. It's also very cheap.

All the obvious RPG games of course. The suggestions already made are excellent. If you want a little variation, Crysis for FPS (if your PC can handle it), starcraft 2 for RTS (obviously), X3 for space combat, And Garrysmod. ALWAYS GARRYSMOD. |

Mount & Blade. Its basic, fun, adictive, has lots of mods and doesn;t take up too much memory. |
