yeah, we all know Toegoff HATES Twilight and Harry, but what do YOU think? Which one is better? Which one is worse? if i had to say, two words about Twilight : TWILIGHT. SUCKS. [puns...] Vampires are awesome. twilight ruined them. yes, i know my Avatar is a twilight kind of thing, but, who doesn't love vampires? twilight is just basically about a emo human and emo vampire [who glitters in the sunlight?...] who fall in love. if you have read the books, the gal is just "every one hates me. that guy is nice to me, but he still hates me. why can't i just die? boo hoo hoo." but i love Harry Potter. its the best thing since sliced bread. it just seems so well thought through from Hermione's selfish hurt soul, [in the book, that was how she acted. smarter than every one else and so fourth.] to the tree that almost killed Harry and Ron. |

I like Harry Potter better....or let's say, I liked Harry Potter better when everything was happy magical moving staircase land. Now it's just too dark and gloomy and bleh. Never watched or read Twilight, I only know it sucks and it sucks bad. |

I read both series and while the Twilight books weren't terrible, the movies sucked. I found the Harry Potter books to be more enjoyable and the movies to be way better (even though the more they make the farther away from the books they get). I do like vampires and werewolves... just not when they are sparkly and cant keep their shirts on. If they had been real vampires (burn in sunlight, hate garlic) and real werewolves (full moon, rabid), I think the series would have been much better. Harry Potter was good because it had dragons. There was also the air of mystery and secrecy. You were introduced to a magical world where there was an evil guy and he gets killed by a baby. Why did it happen? How? Then there was the magic itself. There were al these weird neat little things (chocolate frogs, the jelly beans) that made it different from our world but still relatable. Also I thought the ending for Harry Potter was better. *SPOILERS* They have a huge war with the giants and the spiders and the centaurs and the death eaters. But in Twilight there was a staring contest. I think one girl died and then the Volturi left them alone. Wtf? Anyway just my opinion

I read the first 10 pages of Twilight. I hated every second of it. And before anyone tells me that I should read more because it gets better, I shouldn't have to. A book should pull you right in from the first sentence and Twilight did not. Onto Harry Potter. I really liked the books. The first 4 movies were very well done. 5 and 6 were okay, but nothing spectacular. Unlike Twilight, Harry Potter is interesting to listen to and to read. Those are my two cents. |

I'm currently going through the first Twilight book, just to be able to form my own opinion and so far it just feels like a clichéed-but-yet-not teenage love story with vampires tossed in because you can. It's not very interesting so far. I haven't seen the movies yet either so can't say a thing about those. As for Harry Potter, I actually didn't manage to read through the first book the first time I picked it up. I did another try at reading the books after the third movie had come out and managed to get through the first book and onto the others. I must admit I felt the books got better and better the further you got into the series. And I've always enjoyed the movies, though the last one seemed to be setting the scene for the last ones rather than being a "good movie" in its own right. In the end, Harry Potter wins for me, interesting characters, an actual plot and in a wierd way things do make sense instead of seeming randomly thought up (sparkly vampire, wut?). |

I think I would rather smash my head face first into a curb on the sidewalk then attempt a go at this game. |

Harry Potter, no question. I haven't even read much of the series and I feel that way. At least HP was imaginative, captured a storytelling element that drew you into the drama and development of the characters, and the setting. It's fun to read, at least early on. Twilight is a stain on the face of literature and should be scrubbed away. From the Mormon propaganda to the "sparkling vampires" to the Romanticizing Stalking (and other abusive, alarming behavior), I am sickened by the existence of this series. That's just my opinion, though. |
