I Just Got Nommed
I found out about this charity and thought it might interest some people.
Most of the information is on the website but I'll outline some details here.

Extra Life is a 24-hour gaming marathon raising money to help sick kids at your local children's hospital.
This year's event begins at 8:00am in your local time zone on October 16th, 2010. Each of the participants is raising money by getting at least 4 sponsors to give $1.00 for each hour of the marathon. ($24 in total)
It can be done in the comfort of your own home, with any system and and any games.

I think this is a wonderful idea and am trying to spread the word to as many people as possible. If you can't particiape and have the means to donate, please do.

Whether you're participating, donating or helping me spread the word, thanks for your support.

Extra Life website: https://www.hospitalshelpingkids.org/ExtraLife/default.aspx

And if anyone would like to sponsor me, send me a PM and I'll send you a link. It would be much appreciated.

This is something I've really thought about guys and would LOVE to do. Unfortunately, I am working the day of the marathon. Sad...I know. However, here is my plan and please tell me your interest.

October 22nd @ 6pm - October 23rd @ 6pm ...yes Toegoff will STREAM for 24 hours straight. Not only play games, but STREAM for 24 hours straight.

I will likely be using ustream.tv/toegoff for this as Livestream only supports 50 people. Guys, this is what I talked about in my one video about 'buy my stuff.' This is a chance that if you really like my work, like what I do, and respect me as a gamer, I ask that you please consider donating. All donations will be going to 'The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia' Again folks, I do ask from the bottom of my heart that if you enjoy my LPs and have considered donating to me, that you donate to this cause.

Now, as an incentive, I am offering a chance to BUY time. The way donations hopefully work is will be $4 an hour. Thus, you may BUY an hour and choose the game for that hour. So if you buy 6pm - 7pm, you choose the game, and I play and commentate it. This includes EVERYTHING in my library from Oblivion, to Fallout 3...yes, for a good cause I will even play them :) Now folks, I believe I'm up to this. I've done 24 hour shifts before, and I really think I can do this. However, I obviously cannot promise I can stream 24 hours straight and commentate it. I will promise to make up any time though that my body physically won't allow. So folks, PLEASE consider this. Thank you in advance.

After donating, please contact me with the game you'd like me to play and the hour. I will keep a running table going with what games/time slots are used. If you'd like to buy 2 hours, GREAT! Again folks, thank you

No, you're both off. What you should do is buy all twenty four hours and pick I Wanna be the Guy. :D

Good idea, it's this type of programs that helped me years ago. It's a good cause and I always try to support them if possible.

100% Honest I don't have a dime to my name really now, being was in the hospital six months, and lost my job (Psychically can't work now for a while) but besides that going to see if I can donate nonetheless to y'all.

Wish y'all good luck.
