(I'm sorry not really sure where to put this...I mean if it fits in here or in the random section)

Anyone out that can recommend a good mmorps?

I play a lot of different mmoprgs. It passes times for me, and I can't move around a lot or go out till next year. Damn doctors orders..anyway. So I knida work form home atm so I have free-time.

---------

I play W.O.W...lovely way to pass time, and just...it's hard to quit. I play 1-2 hours a day...well till Dec 7th ( I know, I know...)

I like Perfect World...play it 1 or 2 times a week just to relax.

Played Shaiya..eh quit....Twelve Sky 2..was ok but quit...Rapplez...use to love it..but now..meh quit...

Aika (If it wasn't for the gender set classes..I would have at least kept in on my computer )

---------

You could say I am a nerd (It's true)

I like a game with a good set up, and a half-way decent story background. I like to have a challenge that makes me think how to use skills not just spam one.

I like support classes (Tank, Healing, Buffer, Crowd Control)...A dungeon/instance runner (I like to party/help people)..but still feel like I can solo outside of that area of game-play..... sorry I'll stop now...

---------

If anyone knows of good mmorpg. Please suggest it, and I'll look at it for myself....thanks all.

Btw happy to play with anyone, don't talk much, but still...

Anyway thanks again and sorry for the bother.

I'd suggest Guild Wars. It's pretty good, although some people will tell you the story is crap, but that's because they don't read the quest text and skip the cutscenes. Anyway, I like it, at least.

Monty is correct. If you're a Star Wars fan, that is.

I would suggest Mabinogi or Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Guild Wars: I'm not sure on, want to try it.
On Star Wars ...I'm interested.

And @ Icee77: No D&D Online...tried it...I prefer pen and paper though that's been years. Thanks ^^

Toegoff and I played the first Guild Wars: Prophecies together. We enjoyed it very much and got into the story. We didn't like Factions though... haven't tried Nightfall together. I've done a little bit of Nightfall, just the beginning and it seemed decent.

Nightfall is decent, but it does get quite difficult after a while. It's also much easier to find a party now with all the people trying to complete their Hall of Monuments(es) in time for Guild Wars 2. It may feel a little prolonged, but it gets pretty damn awesome at the time of the final boss. I'd recommend trying it out again. Also, I didn't like Factions, either.

@Reishadows: I think you can still download the trial from the website. If not, I have a few trial keys. You should do some research on it.

I'll do my research no problem. I like to know what I am getting into ^^

Thank you, Apothek, Sinovera for your opinion on Guild Wars, and good input. Was going to get Nightfall, and play with my friend but he enlisted so I held off on it...but may pick it up a little later depending. Thank you again.

If you want to try something different you could give EVE Online a shot. Learning the ropes will probably take some time and effort, but once you know which end of the barrels makes the loud noises and you get into a good corporation you'll have a beast of a time.

The backstory is extremely rich and deep, I could spend days explaining you the history of mankind, relationships between the various factions and the current status quo. The official site has over 200 chronicles and short stories for your enjoyment ( http://www.eveonline.com/background/potw/ ) and the skilful text wizards have even written a few books ;)

One of the old intro cinematics gives a pretty decent rough idea:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T84nrp08MWo

EVE has no class limits so everyone can train everything, although learning every skill in the game will take around 18 years. No, I am not kidding

If you like you can start your training with small fast ships that help pin down targets while the big and clumsy damage dealers convert the enemy into pretty explosions. If you like being the support character you can move on to either electronic warfare ships ( that basically cripple the target in a myriad of ways ) or remote repairers ( everyone likes healers ). Maybe throw in a good affordable sniper boat. There are about 30 ship classes with usually 2 to 4 ships per class per race. Take your pick

To be totally honest, I wouldn't have written this post if you hadn't mentioned you were looking for a challenge. EVE is the incarnation of challenge. A shotgun shell to the face would be easier to cope with than the first few weeks of playing the game. Once you start the executable you are dumped into a world of acronyms ( "I tried the LR BC setup with BCUs, a LSE and HMLs, but I think a sniper HAC would be better at it" ), crazy game mechanics and rules that sometimes make no sense and last but not least, a world where your only defence is your own common sense and readiness to put your experience and what you have learned into practise.

But, there are always people who are ready to help you every step of the way as long as you listen. If you'd like to know more about the game you can shoot me a PM, I can guide you through the first steps ;)

I rather liked the story in Guild Wars, though I mostly just played it as a single player game to be fair.

If you like roleplaying I'd suggest Lord of the Rings Online, last I played it had quite a good support for roleplaying (best one since Star Wars Galaxies hit an early grave), and judging by a friend of mine, the roleplaying community is still going strong.

Factions made you jump from level 12 enemies to level 20 enemies...

Not the funnest day when I started playing that.
