1. When you wake up Monday, and find out is Thursday Morning when you look at a calender. 2. When you beat a 42 hour plus game with cut scenes in one sitting 3. If your sitting in my chair 4. When you can watch a full LP series, Play 20 games of LoL, beat Fable 3 out of boredom, and go though 4 bottles of wine and feel awake still....then cooked a cake out of pure boredom............ Ok, long story short I have sleeping problems, need help, used everything..anyone who can suggest something please do, even old time remedies....And no not a one time thing...... been like this since I was 8 ~.~ Nothing works |

sleeping problems here too, tho not as sever as yours it seems. I think for you sleeping pills might work? Tho you have to find out WHY you don't sleep first. For me, I have too much stress and anxiety atm to sleep. I probably won't be able to sleep until I solve those issues. Is that an issue for you? I saw a tv program once where someone said that if you put your alarm to ring 30 minutes earlier than usual, your sleeping rythm will go back to normal (if that's your issue). Other than that.....maybe you should go see a doc, they can probably help you more. |

I'm no expert in these matters, but I've heard a thing or two that might help. 1. Try to have a regular sleeping schedule. You can change it a little on weekends and on vacation ( say, instead of waking up at 8 you set your alarm clock to 9 or 10 o'clock ), but do try to get used to going to bed at the same time every day, your body needs a sleeping rhythm. 2. Physical exercise. Start going to the gym or simply run for a little while every evening. Helps get rid of that pesky excessive energy. 3. Erm...masturbate before going to bed. Men's organism releases a chemical that relaxes the body and should make it easier to fall asleep. Best of luck. |

Number 3.....No....simple and clean...no. I don't....see how you would know this works...nor do I wanna see......we are going to pretend this was never brought up ----- Physical exercise: I have to run everyday already for about a hour Normal sleeping times: Not possible at the current time |

Here's what I do: Step 1: Watch a Lifetime soap opera Step 2: Bash your head against the wall for actually enjoying it Step 3: Jump onto your bed ninja style Step 4: Count 100 sheep backwards. Step 5: Scream at the top of your lungs ...It's not what you should do- it's just what I do. |

If the stress and anxiety is keeping you awake, and you're just too tired to deal with it or you can't deal with it atm (for whatever reason) then maybe anti-depressants could work? |

Actually, it's scientific. Post-coitus, there's a chemical released into the body that helps someone relax and fall asleep. That's why there's a stereotype about men passing out after sex; it can be very powerful. It's not a bad idea, in all honesty, discomfort about the topic aside. It's just a suggestion, of course, and if you're not comfortable with the idea, you certainly don't have to take it on.

Do more physichal exercise, till your sweating like a pig. After I've had a a hard bout of exercise then I sleep like a baby but you really have to push yourself. Cannabis is used to help with Insomnia. To be honest though, only go to bed when your sleepy, you may not need much sleep. If anything its better that your'e awake more of the time and are alert because oyu can do more work/ pleasurable activities. |

Boot camp. You won't see a bed for about 3 days straight, and from then on it will be viewed as a holy location. |

Morphine doesn't affect me at all, and I am being serous. TheMonty646: Lol, I have heard that. Magicklorelai: No it doesn't work. I had a nurse in the hospital "suggest" that then a doctor months and months ago. --------------------- From what my doctor said today...My body has a very high resistant medicines which is a reason why painkillers don't work right with me. When I was sick I slept 20 minutes a night because I was in so much pain. And this with one for 4-6 months in the hospital. So i basic was one day and night restless in pain. So that has a lot to do with it now. ------ Thanks all, looks like I just have to do more then a hour of physical exercise a day. |
