I don't see what the problem is. You just don't need to sleep much and if your feeling tired in the day then just ride it out till bedtime rather than napping. You can't force yourself to sleep. |

If you're not feeling tired, then don't try to sleep, that'll just mess with your head and if you're anything like me, get a migraine. If you do want to get tired however, go for a session of Muay Thai or something similar. 1½ hour of that if you're not used to it and you're bound to be tired as all hells. ![]() But generally, as most people have mentioned, physical excercise helps you sleep better, the human body was made for physical work and it needs something to spend the energy on. So, my recommendations would be physical and mental excercise, drain off that spare energy by occupying both your brain and your brawn. And no, watching LPs and gaming doesn't really count as mental excercise unless you're playing some brain teaser game

Dunno, I agree with others. Pull one off, get more exercise, and don't force yourself to sleep. As long as your body isn't crashing, it'll come to you. HAHA, I MADE A FUNNY. Get it? Masturbate? Come to you? Comedic freaking gold. |

Try and sprint a mile then do around 50 push-ups, it tends to max the body out and should help to make you more tired. Just don't push yourself TOO hard. |

Guess you all have a point. I just thought sleeping one hour at a time was bad. And I will explain it this way.....sometimes I will stay up like this and not feel nothing but just crash all at once...but not feel sleepy at all. Other times i will feel so sleepy my mind and body feels it but my brain still will shut down. Anyway............. bobtherocket: You just had to make that joke man lol nice. TheMonty646: Ugh.....guess that would max the body out |

Hi there, I was going to post something about insomnia, but this was already up and running, so I woke it up. Listening to music and getting in some reading works fairly well for me. I deal with occasional sleeping problems (battles with my worries keep me awake rather nicely), but I have found that trying too hard to fall asleep makes the task nigh-impossible. If there's anyone out there who needs something to read that may make them fall asleep, I can suggest a few things. Just let me know. Thanks for your time and have a great evening.

Adding to the whole excercise idea with what helps me: after you've done it -I suggest doing weights- then just sit, close your eyes with your hands on your knees. It's relaxing and calming and added to the tiredness you'll get from the exercise it should help to make you drowsy.. |

Occasionally I have sleeping problems, the ways I deal with them as listed: 1. Flip on my laptop and read some /x/ material, scare yourself to sleep. 2. Change pillows - sometimes this helps due to the fact that one pillow is cooler in temperature. 3. Of course, masturbation does work... as said before. (possibly) 4. Also some meditation really works. I tend to listen to this before I could do it on my own: Meditation 5. You may call me crazy on this last one but... the gemstone Lapis Lazuli is supposed to have properties to bring the mind to peace. Whether you believe this, placebo effect it, or don't is entirely your call. |

It could be the bed your sleeping in. I had a similar problem, but once I made some adjustments to my bed I was sleeping like a baby. Also a regular sleeping schedule will help. |

Ask your doctor to prescribe some Zopiclone or something. There are doctors out there that are specialized in sleep. Maybe some hypnotic treatments will work. There are tons of new aged solutions to your problem. Seek them out. |
