How do people do it?!

There must be something wrong with me...

IRL, I'm a pretty quick thinking guy who doesn't take too long to make a decision, even if they could include my health etc.

But, when playing video games (specifically RPG's) I can't make any decisions at all!
For example, when choosing a class... I want to make a TWF ranger but then I see the Sacred Fist PrC and want to go with that and monk instead but then I can't use swords etc.

I simply can't do it! How do you possibly choose ONE class out of all the available classes. Sure, you can multiclass in some games...

Thats when you make many many MANY characters (or accounts if you can't make more then one per account) Honestly on Dungeon Fighter I have all 12 character slots filled on two accounts. (mind you they are all level 30 or below so you don't get very far)

But I know what you mean when you say that.

Though, I simply don't have the patience to play through the game that many times.

But anyway, I tend to take a long time too. And try D&D online. Only TWO character slots and so many choices. It usually takes me between 5-20 min. to pick a character. I suggest you start with a generic class and when you get the gist of the game, make a new account to test weird and wacky combos.

I'm actually not having as much problem choosing a class for DDO as i have with choosing one for, say, NW2.

The thing is that I change my mind too easily.

For example: *Playing a ranger* *Read about monk online* *Reroll as Monk* *Reroll as ranger again because I find a nice weapon and feel like TWF*

Same thing If I'm playing as a SnS character and find a cool 2h weapon, I want to reroll just so i can use it even though i know it will suck later on.

If you just knew how many times I played through ostagar in DA:O :P

Sadly, the multiclass monk feat doesn't grant the ability to overlay ki focuses onto weapons the way the assassin multiclass does. However, a Two-Weapon style Ranger with a Paired Scimitar, Quick Draw, and Monastic Disciple can Twin Strike, then go back to one weapon, then Flurry, then go back to two weapons all in one turn. Pump Str and Dex for Scimitar Dance. Your Wis will suffer, which will make some of your Radiant Fist features rather lackluster, and you'll need to keep a Ki Focus, but it's doable, especially if you're a Half-Orc or Thri-Kreen.

Hi there,

People like having choices, but it just makes it all the harder when you're faced with a multitude of options. Found that in Oblivion and Dragon Age. Even more so with the Sims (natch). For now, I'm still messing with only one character in DA:O and two in Diablo II. Still, the creation process is fun. Thanks for your time and have a great evening.

I'm more partial to the mage myself. :D The only reason I didn't go with a mage for DA:O was that dwarves cannot use magic. Oh well. Have a great evening.

I play what I love...

And for me that is a melee fighter. preferably dual weild.

But, monks just seem so awesome, except the no armor/weapon thing.

Think of a name. What kind of type would that bring up with you, and make that character as you go along.
