Don't enjoy a gaming system that prevents hacking in order to prevent their financial interests and rights, and those of game developers. Not to mention they provide free internet access for gaming, unlike the 360.

Check.

But unlike the Ps3, the xbox live doesn't suck :P

But, we're NOT having this discussion...

But let's continue the discussion where PS3 "fanboys" need to learn their lesson for buying a product with the features I listed. What is your reasoning behind that?

And I don't entirely think it's fair to say the PS3 network sucks. I've had no problems with it, but I typically don't play online content. I assume it's much of the same from the online gaming community, though. You have your ragers, your crybabies, your shit-talkers, etc.

Nor have I heard much bad about it except from *GASP* 360 fans.

If XBL comes across issues, or is hacked, would it be fair to hope 360 fanboys learn their lesson?

*I just want to clarify that I am NOT an xbox fanboy, even if it might look that way!*

What I actually meant (I'm incredibly messed up today btw) was that...I think it was something about how the Ps3 and Xbox360 are equals... But that doesn't make much sense, does it?

Ah, let's put it this way.

"I hope that all the ps3 fanboys have learned that the Ps3 is NOT flawless but also that the xbox fanboys are intelligent enough to see that their console is not flawless either, so that the console war can come to an end." Let's say that is what I meant, because I have no idea what I meant with the first post...

I do hope that I misunderstood that last part... You have no problems with the online functions but... you don't use them?

Are we talking about the Psn now? or the xbox? An answer for both is:

Yes.

Actually, yes It would. But as I stated above the Ps3 fanboys needs to understand that their console isn't flawless either.

As for the part where I said that Psn sucks... I just think that a free online service is bad, since anyone can use it. That also means that I think the Ps3 has alot younger players than the xbox. I also don't like anyone who wants to make games exclusive to their consoles.

(I also like the sound of achievement unlocking :P)

First off, I am not a PS3 fanboy. I enjoy the system, and do not regret anything I have spent on it and games. I know there are flaws, and I don't personally care for "console wars". I made a purchase, and I enjoy what I have received.

Secondly: "typically" not using something does not equate into "not using them". I'm not sure how you get "not using" from "typically not using". To clarify, I do not use them a majority of the time. (Since I used the term "majority", it can be assumed I use them 49% of the time or less.) I regret to inform you your hope on understanding and interpreting my words is unbased due to a lack of comprehension.

I must further state my regret that you expect me to interpret "Anyways, hope all the Ps3 fanboys learn their lesson" to mean "I hope that all the ps3 fanboys have learned that the Ps3 is NOT flawless but also that the xbox fanboys are intelligent enough to see that their console is not flawless either, so that the console war can come to an end."

However, I do believe this to not be through any lack of comprehension of my own, but solely due to your lack of implication of any sort.

As for free access to online content, it is debatable. I have played XBL, and although I will agree not all players are younger, but it just seemed to me that the personality of a majority of players I encountered is the standard mix of internet gamers: elitist, shit-talking, self-entitled fools. PSN, XBL, and online PC gaming will never be an exception to this. Moot point.

And for the final statement....Every console has exclusive games. Every single one.

1. The online usage thing was my fault. I'm kinda tired right now and obviously didn't think it through.

This was more like an edit in another post... Just ignore the first post ('cuz i'm too lazy to edit the original post). But yes, This is not because of your lack of comprehension.

3. Yes all console has exclusive games. But It just feels like the Ps3 has alot more... Maybe I'm just imagining...

All the weird stuff I'm typing right now shouldn't be taken too seriously since I haven't slept in a while and can't write all that cohesive.

EDIT: Omg... So many typos..

Just as a side note, I own a three major consoles, and find that XBL and PSN are pretty much identical minus the price tag and out of game party chat. (I don't count avatars because they're just mutated Miis)

You do realize that a lot of the recent downtime for PSN has been to prevent the use of hacked PS3s, right? They took down the network and any PS3 that bypassed authentication and accessed PSN was forced to download firmware, right?

You do realize that attacks by Anonymous have been due to Sony's attempts to prevent pirating/hacking, right?

Whether or not this has been entirely effective or not is still up in the air, but they are taking the strides they feel as a company they need to take. Or at least, I guess that's what they're doing. Maybe a more fair phrase to use would be "working to prevent."

No, I do not know that. Thank you for sharing that information, bob :) . Now, I may be wrong here but I think I've read somewhere that there is a way to avoid being forced to download the firmware. Anyway, it's good to hear that they're trying to make their systems safer.Let's not forget, however, that the PS3 was supposed to be unhackable and they found a way to do it eventually. I really do hope they manage to prevent pirating on the PS3.

EDIT: They're even asking the FBI for help ?!? Guess they're really serious about catching the hacker, huh
