I did a lot of searching already, scans and what...... and I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here.

Does anyone know anything about removing a redirecting link virus. No matter the search type or search engine the links always redirects to some completely different or computer harming.

I thinking my computer is deeply infected, because no matter what I do it doesn't seem to help the problem just gets worst. I am using the all types of removal software, scans and so on.

Anyone out have any suggestions?

Thank you.

I have learned you don't leave your computer for 5 days without resetting the password so people don't use it...while your away.....it leads to well......a really annoying virus.

Avast, SUPERantispyware, malwarebytes.

If none of those work, just manually copy, paste the links from search into your browser until you find something that does.

Sorry if this isn't any help.

Malwarebytes.org
superantispyware.com

On SUPERantispyware, make sure you select the full scan, as it defaults on the lesser scan.

Also, even if you think it's gone, run multiple scans. There's nothing quite as annoying as thinking you've gotten rid of a virus and then having it reappear. I would highly recommend Malwarebytes too, it's worked wonders for me in the past. Hopefully the virus you have won't take much time to remove.

I am doing just that I thought is was gone at one point but.....I was wrong. It annoyed the living day lights out of me when I saw it was still going on.

That is what a PS3 is for....all joking aside....My cousin said it probably happened while I was gone and she was looking up anime and got-on a bad link. What type of anime she was looking up to have gotten this I honestly don't know. A lot corrupt players for videos do have the backdoor virus thanks to ads, but Idk.

Did a full system restore on this computer, destroyed every file and put everything back on with disks (everything but WoW and LoL) , and ran all kind of different scans but yet the problem is still on the damn thing. Searches all redirect and add more virus after scans and removal.

Idk I'll keep working on it .

Thank all.

I don't buy your cousins story *shifty eyes*

My checklist for getting rid of viruses is:
1. Run Rkill (google it if interested)
2. Update/run Malwarebytes scanner
3. Update/run normal antivirus scanner
4. Rage if it's still on the computer and repeat steps 2-3 (Optional)

Don't restart or turn of your computer until it's completely gone if you can help it. Startup will usually fully restore a virus if some of the program is still there. Otherwise, just keep trying and you'll get it eventually.

1. Do your scans off-line. Ideally, scan in safe mode so that nothing like a virus works in the background.
2. If doing deep/full scans with your anti-virus/internet security software after updating didn't help, try Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, Spybot: Search&Destroy and SUPERAntiSpyware. Do full scans of course without being connected to net.
3. If you're desperate, get free help from either of these forums:
http://forums.techguy.org/
http://forums.majorgeeks.com/

I once had a bad trojan with a malicious downloading habit until it locks my pc up. I got help from the first above.

Out of curiosity, what page is it linking you to?
Might actually help for removal.

Same thing happened to me. Eventually, all those redirected sites got me an even worse virus. Ended up horribly corrupting my hard drive. Shelled out $80 on a new hard drive and it's like it never happened.
