Ninja Warrior was a show I used to watch a lot. For those unfamiliar, it is basically the obstacle course from hell. 100 competitors attempts to clear 4 stages of obstacle courses. On average, less than 10 even advance to the second stage. It is incredibly difficult and requires literal super human powers to complete. You can catch a lot of clips on YouTube that are pretty entertaining. I believe there has only been 4 or 5 competitors to ever clear all four stages (out of countless who have tried). To give you an idea of 'what it takes' to win...here's a link to Makoto Nagano ... an athlete who is literally some type of mutant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnSyQkZDBAI The neat thing about the show is that it tests EVERYTHING needed in an athlete (OR NINJA!) Speed, Strength, Endurance, Agility, Coordination...everything must be perfectly honed to even have a chance at winning. You can only sit back and marvel at the sheer amazement of these feats. |

God I love Ninja Warrior.....wasn't the first guy to win (or the guy who won 2 times or something...?) a fisherman who trained on his boat? And then there was that guy who lost his family, he quit his job and everything just to be able to train for the competition in hopes of winning  Oh and then there is that really really old man who could never get past the first obstacle even yet he always comes back. God I miss NInja Warrior >: And Takeshis Castle...thats jsut funny  Japanese people sure have funny games. |
