Today I went to the vet with my dog to do some blood works to check his med level and to check his liver stuff. Liver stuff were a bit too high but nothing to be scared of yet. At the same time they checked a lump that I had found on his chest and we decided that the best thing to do is to remove it with surgery. He's going in for surgery 1st next month. It could be a tumour or it could be just a lump of fat, we'll see. All this will cost me about 300€. Next month I was supposed to start paying back on my study loan, which would end up costing me about 400€, not something an unemployed person just has lying around. I contacted my bank and asked them to postpone my payments with 6 months. I got a message from the bank saying that normally this kind of thing would cost me 100€ (yeah....just postponing the payment would cost me 100€.....) but because it's the first time I postpone it they will only take 10€/ loan (got 2 that I'm postponing). I almost cried. There is goodness in the universe after all! |

doggys surgery went fine. The bump on his chest was a benign fatty growth. I think the worst part of this day for him has been not getting any breakfast....damn he was hungry...and grumpy! |

Thats good to hear monstar. My dog has those fat deposits all over the place: on her belly, her tail, on her arm pit... she's too old for surgery though; the vets just hope it really is benign fat. |

You seem to be going through a lot for your dog monstar. I guess I was lucky to have dog who's only issue was blindness and old age. Best of luck to you and your doggie! |

my vet said that as long as they don't grow it's ok. Kibas was growing and hardening at the core so that's why she wanted it removed, since it could have been bad. And yeah...at the moment I'm going through a lot with my doggy, I think these last couple of months I've spent more than 600€ on him. But he's worth every cent, my little baby <3 |

Jeez... Today was hard. My best friend's brother died. He was brushing his teeth this morning, went into cardiac arrest, and then died. Just like that. He is Muslim so they had to bury him before sundown. He wasn't even sick or anything... I saw him a few weeks ago and he was fine. I'm not sure how long his life expectancy was though. He used a wheel chair and could barely move his arms and couldn't move his legs at all. I'm not sure what disease he had but he was disabled at birth. I'm not sure if this sort of thing is common for someone with his disease or if it was just a rare occurance. My friend was going to come down from college on Tuesday, we were making plans to go to the beach. He had to drive home today to bury his little brother. His brother was a sophmore in high school. All I can do is be there for him if he needs to get his mind off it. I don't even know what to say. It was just so sudden. |

^ that is really rough.I've been in a similar situation where you just have no idea what to say or do. You have no emotional connection with the deceased but you do with the person that was deeply emotionally attached to the deceased. You want to be there for them but just have no clue how to be. It was with my bf's grandmother, who was old but very healthy. She was like a second mother to him. I just held his hand through the funeral and comforted him when he cried and hoped I did my best to make him feel that things will still be ok. That's all you can really do sometimes is just be there, I don't think I said anything, just held his hand.

Hello everybody, I go by the username Xagnos (Unwillingorigins on youtube) but you can call me James. Known about this forum quite awhile, and signed up awhile ago but just now am attempting to actively post here. I am 18 years old, born in America (Texas), with a Korean, Italian, German, and Swedish ethnicity. From where I live, I never grew up experiencing any form of extreme bullying, or being picked on. However, I do get teased a lot for my extremely monotone voice (a lot of people compare it to squidward from the spongebob cartoon show) and also get teased a lot for various things. In Social gatherings I tend to be a verbal punching bag, where people will generally fling jokes at me all the time for no apparent reasons (and then they'll immediately tell me to lighten up when I tell them to stop). With all of that being said, I quickly grew to be an outcast high school (I recently graduated a month or so ago) and became friends with a very small amount of people. Because of this I like to call my group of friends "the fellowship" as we tend to do stuff on our own and completely avoiding any form of drama that happened at high school. Because I only stuck to these 5 or 6 friends, I pretty much ignored any form of social cliques or clubs (scene kids, jocks, bookworms, inbetween, etc)- we were basicalyl on our own island. They are pretty much the only memories I've had of high school, considering I never participated in any advanced classes, clubs, sports or anything. I never dated any girl, and I don't see myself anytime soon due to my low self esteem and social awkwardness. And speaking of awkwardness, I find it very difficult to talk to people. Now everybody my age I'd imagine goes through social awkardness but I don't believe its to the extent I have. I find it very difficult to properly explain what I have to say to anybody, besides my friends. I have an immense amount of social anxiety in front of almost everyone. In fact, my family thinks I have asperger's syndrome (but I try not to think about this). So as a result, I am a complete mute IRL and only open up to my friends. And because of this I tend to express what I have to say about stuff in the form of blogs, posts (like this forum, reviewing (I love to write on about video games/video game design), etc. I've had a passion for video games since I was like 4 or 5 years old. I grew up playing the SNES and every console after that just about. My dream job is to either be a game designer or be a pro gamer (for fighting games). Everybody considers me the super serious gamer in my fellowship as I tend to be practically over obsessed with the hobby. I play and love just about every genre, with RPGS, hack and slash, stealth, and Fighting games being my top favorites. This generation I have a PS3, Wii, and my PC that I built myself. Of all 3 consoles this gen, the wii is my favorite. If anybody here plays Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on PS3 or PC, just add me. My PSN is TonberryX93, GFWL: TonberryX93, and my steam is Gilgamesh. Right now I am trying to enjoy my summer break. My plans right now are to get in shape, find a job, get my driver's license, get A+ certified and finish a bunch of video games. The video games I am currently playing are The Witcher 2 (almost done w/ 3rd playthrough), Xenoblade, and SSFIV. So thats me in a nutshell and I hope to have a great time here, =) |
