All hail the Lazer Bear, may he guide our path through the dark ages of adolescence. May his lazery eyes light our way, and may his roar be heard a million miles. May he, who opposes the Lazer Bear, be struck with deadly lazorz. May the Lazer Bear forever always be worshipped as the true god of this universe.

So, since this thread has been here for a while and hasn't been updated in a while, I decided I'll post an update of what I've been up to lately since I barely even post to these forums anymore.

Things have been quite stressful as of late, due to searching for colleges and just recently turning into a "legal adult," a lot has been going on for me for the past few and upcoming months. Depression kicking back in for reasons unknown to myself is also fun, but it isn't as severe as it used to be, so that's nice.

But quite honestly, I feel like I'm stressed over something I really shouldn't be and it feels like I have a lot more going on than I actually do. That might just be me thinking that "Oh, I'm still a teenager, I'm not supposed to be responsible yet."

Just a tad bit of information. Nothing too depressing, just that a lot has been going on and I know my life is going to change drastically soon, and I honestly have no idea what's going to happen after the next few months.
It's only natural to feel that way, I was like that a lot too. College can be a pretty stressful proposition, especially if you're going to dorm and haven't really spent any significant time away from home. You'll be fine though, once you graduate and get settled in with college, you can pretty much do what you want.

I remember I didn't even look at any colleges cause I just didn't really give a crap. I went local, and ended up having to drop out cause of financial reasons, I had to work odd-jobs for a little and ended up getting a good office gig, when for a while I thought my life was pretty much a wash.

Just try and enjoy college as much as you can, don't be too much of an idiot when it comes to partying, and you'll cruise, you're a smart kid.

Keep fighting brother, there is someone out there who isn't cray. It may be a cat though. Life is full of disappointments.

You know, sometimes it's pretty hard to be an optimist. Life sucks a lot sometimes, I just try my best to take it in stride.... which usually means repressing it, which probably isn't good...........

Repressing it's only going to double back on you later. I long ago adopted the mantle of cynicism that I wear proudly and bathe in the icy waters of self-loathing whenever I can.

Well, just got out of my first relationship. Honestly, I can say I saw the end in sight for a while, it was just a question as to when it would actually happen. Overall, I'm not that sad about it, but it still feels like a blow to me just to be like "It's over, what do I do now?" kind of deal. We ended on pretty decent terms and will still be friends, so I guess it was about as good as an ending one could get out of it.

If you guys parted as friends, that's a good outcome. It may make for an enduring friendship down the line. I'm no expert on relationships, however.

If you think you like someone, and they like you back, good. If it works for a little while, and your relationship is something special instead of something to give you social stability, good. If things start malfunctioning, try to fix it. All real relationships have fights and incidents. But don't waste your breath on someone who doesn't think you're worth their time anymore, because the truth is that they're not worth yours.

The relationships I've been in have caused nothing but more stress in my life, so I mostly just avoid them now. I managed to escape them with no hurt feelings on either side, which is good. Really though, I'll only ever care to be in a relationship with someone I'm friends with. Anything else is like throwing darts blindfolded. The only problem with this is that every girl I'm friends with has a boyfriend.

tl;dr relationships are stressful and every girl is different, so tread carefully on these troubled waters

just enjoy the relationships while they last, you're still young. When it becomes more trouble than it's worth, either try to change yourself/your behavior (only if it makes you better) or change the relationship (includes ending it/friendzoning it). As for what to do with yourself....well what did you do before your relationship? What do you want to do? What makes you feel happy? Ending a relationship is always sad, and it will always feel weird/lonely. You'll get over it. :)

Just changed position with another member of the feast committee, beer and bar will be my new responsibility. So I'll be brewing like 80 liters of wine and 60 liters of beer for the next term, (primarily for the new students, they'll probably be like 30) should be interesting.

Wait what, brewing? Are you gonna brew ale or lager? Also, wine should be easy. BUT where are you gonna brew it and why?

It will be an ale brewed on wheat, flavored with hops, so it's pretty standard. The wine and the ale will be stored/brewed in 20 liter plastic containers.

As for why, well, it's dirt cheap. The wine cost ~10 kr/liter and the ale is even cheaper. Plus it's supposed to be for 30 students for 2 week duration (studentnollning).

Isn't it illegal (at least here) to homebrew alcohol over a certain percentage tho?
