Unfie whatever you do, don't lift with a friend, always go alone and have some random dude spot you if you want to bench. It's so much better to lift alone.

There are no before pics that really show the extent of how skinny I used to be, since I'm wearing shirts in all of them. Even at the pool. And pictures aren't going to happen. I didn't have vanity in mind when I started conditioning guys, it was genuinely to take care of myself. I was dangerously underweight before, eating about as much as a 10 year old girl if that. So more than taking pictures in the mirror I was devoting myself to keeping to a high protein, high caloric intake, and disciplining myself to working out at least once a day for 40-60 minutes at least.

And I'm still a beginner Wry. Shadow boxing and simple drills are the big majority of my practice right now

Right now I'm like 5'11 and 135-140 and honestly, I'm thin but not dangerously so and I feel like if I was like 10 pounds heavier I'd be set. I want to be lean and mean ala Brad Pitt from fight club, I just want to look good to give myself a little more confidence. Functionality and Strength are not important to me, I just want to look good and do it for me. I hope that didn't come off as vain, for me it's all about having better self esteem and feeling more comfortable in my own skin.

Being comfortable in your own skin is the most important thing.

If you're generally thin, 10 pounds of muscle can change your appearance a lot. Getting into a routine of diet and exercise is difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature. You'll probably even feel really off if you end up missing a day. I'd suggest checking out StrongLifts 5x5. It's full-on with a spreadsheet mapping out the routine schedule, and you only have to work out for 45 minutes max, three times a week. With a good diet plan it works wonders.

Yup, I used to work out my Sophomore year of college and I had a solid three days a week plan where I worked out separate muscle groups + abs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I felt great I was getting stronger, so much so that a friend actually asked me if I had been lifting, and shortly thereafter he began working out with me and.... well the whole thing fell apart. We would spend most of the time bullshiting and not really lifting much, that's why I said working out with a friend is a bad idea, lol it was such a disaster.

I'll take that to heart. I've never been really eager to lift with any of my friends anyway, too much of a distraction

Has anyone ever been bullied in High School? If so, what did you do about? Cause I just do nothing and hope they go away. It makes me feel really uncomfortable though.

Sam, fuck em', who cares what they think anyway? Soon enough, High School's going to end and you have the whole rest of your life to live. You can do anything you damn well please, you're bound by nothing. The only person you have to do right by is yourself. What some douchebag says about you means nothing in the long run and even in the present.

I was never really bullied all that much in High School, but I was also a total nobody. I just kind of drifted along without cause or reason, it was actually kind of depressing really. Music was and still is my thing, but other than that I had nothing going for me. I was bullied occasionally by bigger guys in a gym/sports environment, but looking back now I honestly could not care less.

Point is Sam, High School doesn't need to even be a blip on the radar of your life. It's going to end, and when it does your life is going to have endless possibilities. People who think of their HS as the prime of their lives often lead unfulfilled and shitty adult lives, and I bet all those jerks that bully you will probably all turn out to be a bunch of bums anyway.

Just keep on truckin' Sam, you're gonna go places.
