This may be a petty complaint but yesterday I was completely ready to strangle the good folks at a hardware company that shall remain nameless. Well, it's more the ppl they outsource to that I was ready to bludgeon. I had this wonderful dream of getting a new storm door installed. This dream grew to include the interior door as well. Long story short the big door and frame are done and they look nice and sturdy but a series of miscommunications and ppl taking their sweet time to do stuff has pushed back my getting the storm door until around Xmas.
Yeah, I was not very happy yesterday. Why take over a week to come and measure something when it really has already been measured? When a door needs to be special ordered (condo won't accept the standard white $%*^it!) shouldn't it be done right away? Oh no. That would make too much freaking sense, wouldn't it? Pardon my language but this whole experience has been a soulless inbred diseased bastard to go through. I know it will all be worth it and then I won't have to do this ever again (at least until I move - ^o) ) but right now, if someone in that outsourced group came down with a bad case of whooping cough or shingles, I would not be upset.
Thanks for yer time. *sigh*

Also, how can a bastard be inbred?

Quite easily. Joffrey is a good example of an inbred bastard. All a bastard needs is to be "made" from an adulterous relationship and an inbred one to be made from family members. As long as you're not married to your family member, any child made from that relationship will be a bastard....or am i wrong? :S

Monstar, if there is anyone that be relied on to relay factual information on the existence of incestuous bastards, it's you. d–(^ ‿ ^ )z

On the topic of wry's hellgate, at this point it would be a less stressful to live in a cardboard box. No unskilled laborers required and it's move in ready with no exhausting renovation required! Pretty much the only practical decision in this economy. Plus if you leave a bowl out in front people will pay you to live there!

On an a serious note I know the pain of home improvement. Let me tell you, from a first hand experience, it's kind of worth it. Kinda... unless you live with people. Then it's hell and never worth it. People ruin everything.

So since I put my resume up online a few months ago, I've went on a few interviews with some crappy insurance sale companies, really just to get my interviewing chops up more than anything and just prove to myself I can actually land one.

I think with the New Year coming and my Christmas bonus collected, I'm going to really push harder now. I'll admit, I find the prospect kind of unnerving, if only because it's the fear of the unknown. Even though my job by enlarge sucks, it's still better than nothing, regardless though, I've got to get it together.

I have to be honest though, I really liked my boss in the beginning, she treated me well, sometimes gave me a little $ if we had a good week/month, but lately, really since September I'd say she's been a total asshole and I have no idea why.

Even before then though, she's thought that I keep going online and fooling around when in fact I don't. At all. I get all of my work done efficiently and in a timely manner and yet she still finds fault and keeps saying that I'm a sneak and that she knows all I do is fool around online. And really, I'm not looking for praise or really even to be this lady's friend, but the point is that it would be nice to have a cordial relationship with my employer and not have to deal with her glaring and huffing at me every 5 minutes. I'm constantly lectured about how she's not stupid and how I'm a sneak, and I've had to bite my lip and tell her to trust me when I'd rather just tell her to f**k right off. Of course she's a moron and has no idea what she's doing, but that's OK, if she was at least nice and had some good leadership qualities it wouldn't matter. Most of the time she acts like an 8 year old that's just been sent to the principals office and acts like she's the only one that does any work.

Really, the best thing to do is to get a better, well-paying job and just tell her it was nice knowing her. Although I've fantasized about telling her that's she's a moron who's only in a position of leadership because she married her significantly older husband, it's really not that wise for me to burn my bridges so to speak.

/rant, that really felt good.

TL;DR my boss is an asshole and I'm ramping up my job search. Also if you gaiz ever run a business be nice to your employees so that they don't rant on an internet message board.

Seduce the old guy and snatch that sweet boss job. Show that bitch who the real gold-digger is!
But for real be sure to screw her over right before you leave. Like make it so the place can't run without you then leave. Also my advice for interviewing, just imagine everyone as a feudal lord in medieval ages who can decapitate you if they see you looking incorrectly. It's very calming.

That sounds awful, I've had a shitty boss once or twice. The first one got pissed at me because I didn't invent work for my self. It was his job to supply us with work, usually the wait time between work was about ten to twenty minutes. When he ran the place it was three hours. So he told me to do something whilst I waited for him. To be honest chris, dance with your hands in your pants for a while and hope you score a better job.

Yup, that's pretty much what I'm doing at the moment. Hopefully in a few months I'll have a better job and just look back on this as that really bad time. I'm a little more at ease now that I'm set on getting a new job. At this point I'm just aiming for an entry-level position for companies that are basically one rung higher on the ladder than the one I currently work for. Sure it's going to be a little nerve wracking if I get some serious interviews lined up, but I'm pretty confident that I can come across as an extremely hard working kid. Anywho, last Wednesday my boss and I had a spat, which basically means she called me a sneak again and I told her she's wrong and crazy. That really was the last straw for me. Obviously I was looking for other jobs before hand, but now I'm getting much more aggressive about it. I don't like being judged like that at all. I've worked since I was 15 years old, and I've never been called shady or a sneak. It's ridiculous but once again, I can't exactly curse my boss out even though I really want to at this point.

Thanks for the support though everybody, I feel a lot better having a place to vent. The words of support really mean a lot and good luck to everyone who might also be going through a shitty time whether it be work, school, or just life in general. I think it's going to get better, it certainly can and I think it will soon enough.

So next week I've got a real deal interview in Manhattan, and I also might have another on the same day. Oh man, I'm gonna be craping bricks big time. Nervous but excited for the opportunity.

Thanks Sin! I'm nervous, but actually pretty excited. If nothing else, it's a great learning experience. I don't have to take the subway to get there either which is a huge plus. I just take a train from my local station that goes directly to Penn Station, and walk a few blocks.

It went really well, I think they want me. The starting pay is 1.5x what I make now, but I'm still in the process of getting everything together. It would be a huge change and the prospect is kinda scary but I think it's a huge opportunity for me and I'm probably gonna take it. For some reason it's still so surreal. Damn two weeks ago I didn't think this was gonna happen. Shit lol. Well, thanks a bunch for the support guys, it's really helped me out a lot.
