I got into a fight with my screen door yesterday. Honestly, I'm regretting getting the fucking thing. We had a howling gale for most of the day and I forgot to close that door properly (my bad) and that jerk of a door went flapping and slamming in the wind. Another bent rod and this time the door wouldn't even close until I got rough with it. My cat, understandably confused by my rage and frustration, yowled and complained, which didn't improve my mood any. I got it closed but this morning when I got ready to go to work I had to open it again - guess what? This story does have a happy ending though. A wonderful dad came forth to save the day (and the door). Now I have a new rod and even a chain for my door. That should stop things from going sideways should we have another blustery day. Still... ARGH!! |

It's going well Wry, I've adjusted to the commute and I'm fitting in good I think. Today during my lunch break I took a walk to the Macy's flagship on 34th and got me some shirts and suspenders. I really love the city, it's everything all the time anytime you want it. Anything in New York City is the premier version of it. Back home my bank has one dinky ATM machine that's always broken. In NY there's like 5 of my bank on 1 block and they all have like 6 ATM's that eat my debit card like a damn vacuum cleaner. It's really the center of the universe. |

How's everybody doing? I was reading through this thread just now and I want to say thanks again to everyone for the support when I was going through tough times slogging it out at my old job and looking for a new one. It really meant a lot to me because outside of my family I had no one to vent to and it was really nice to be able to come on here and vent. So is everything okay with you guys? Everything is fine with me, just working and will hopefully get employed soon, next month or maybe 2 months from now probably. Really liking it at work thorough some people can be frustrating to deal with. Even though we mostly shitpost and act goofy it's quite nice to just talk to people. |

Stay strong Pong. You'll get there eventually. As for me, I paid a chunk of money for new tires and got a new smoke detector battery. A great trade, wot?

Alright, update on life. Finished first (and likely last) year of college, decided I absolutely hated it. Trying to join work force and see how that works out for a year. If it doesn't, back to school for a two year degree or something. Working two jobs at the moment (both part time, though). Feel like I'm slowly falling into depression, but trying my best to stay out of it. We'll see how life goes from now. |

Just hang in there man, I only did 3 semesters of college before I couldn't afford it anymore and had to dropout. You're a smart kid and you can make it if you work hard enough, just try and find what you like and really go for it. Even if it doesn't work out you can always find an office job somewhere. You may have some crappy bosses along the line, but try not to sweat it, work experience is really valuable, I spent 2 years working for a freaking nazi getting bitched out everyday, just keep focusing on what you want, you'll do great, you're a smart kid. |

Graduating in a week (the 5th), which will be followed either by 3-5 years additional study (although of things I actually want to study), or roughly a year of unemployment while probably having to live with my mom. Actually, depending on where I get into uni, I might "have" to live with my mom again anyways, unless I want to have huge debts (prob still will have some after I'm done, but not as big in that case). Mostly, I just want to get out of this place. I absolutely hate old people in general, and, of course, them being in my family apparently means they have to be some of the most disgusting people you could ever meet. Moving away will also mean I'm moving away from my friends though, and I don't have an easy time making new friends (talked about that earlier in this thread). Sure, I can be friendly to people, but deep down I actually dislike the majority of them, and just want them to go away, no matter how nice they are to me. And finally, still dealing with the "aftermath" (so to speak) of my brake-up, which is another reason I just want school to end already, because this is slowly breaking me... Other than that, all good. |

Things aren't nearly as bad for me as they seem to be for others, I'm just really pissy about things right now because I straight up hate people, and there's so much stuff going on right now that requires me to interact with people... But seriously, my mom is like the biggest retard I've met in my entire life, and it almost makes me hope that I don't get into Uni there... |

Be my friend and we can hate each other mutually. It's the perfect Swedish gathering, sit in awkward silence until everyone gets drunk and gets just a tad to much touchy feely. |
