That's good Ghost....I know taking pills isn't fun but if it helps there's no reason not to.

As for a less serious note.....a week ago or so I ordered some bathroom fabric for...well...my bathroom, as well as some kitchen towels and the game controller. When I last logged on to the store it showed that I would not be getting the controller at all. So I was like FFFFFUUUUUUU why you no tell me earlier!?!. Yesterday I got an sms saying my package was ready for pickup in town. So I walked to town picked up my package and walked back to my sisters. It takes about half an hour to walk one way, so an hour there and back. As soon as I set foot in my sisters apartment, I got an sms saying "thar be a package here for you to pick up". Turns out they DID send the controller after all, without notifying me. So naturally, I was FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUing for a long time after. Now I have to go back to town tomorrow and pick another package up.....sigh.

The thing with me and Shrinks: I don't like them as people, I respect them in many ways, but I don't like talking to them. It feels like they're judging me all the time and shit like that.
Also: I hate to take pills and drugs and shit like that, it's things that shouldn't be needed, and I hate the fact that I have to take two of them every morning and eavning... >.<

yOu guys in here are awesome, I really like that there're at least some way I can talk to people that's been in some kinc of the same situations as I'm in right now <3

I haven't been on these forums much for the last couple of months (for reasons below), but I just came on and saw this thread (btw I am planning to come on abit more and also try streaming again). I have kept most of my personally life secret from all my friends, but seeing how honest all of you have been on this thread has compelled me to write about myself. I don't expect anyone to read this as it may be quite long, it's more for me to try and get some things off my chest that I generally don't talk about. Also, apologies if it is written poorly, I'm not going to edit it before I submit it, maybe later though.

Anyway, my real name is Neil. I live in Sydney, Australia, and I was born in 22 Jan. 1992.
I grew up at bondi leaving with my brother and parents until about the age of 9 when my parents got divorced. They seperated because my dad developed schizophrenia and was not diagnosed for some time. He was not aggressive but he had become incredibly paranoid. Their seperation was not messy and I continued to see my dad almost every weekend.

For the next 2 years, I lived in various rental houses with my brother and my Mum.
This changed when Mum severly broke her arm. Funnily enough she forced her boyfriend at the time, Colin, to move in with us. This ended up going well as he did not impose himself as a replacement father but rather as a friend to me and my brother. Shortly after this Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she was forced to go on chemotherapy, which made her rather ill for a long period of time. This happened during my last year of primary school.

The next year I moved into highschool, Rose Bay Secondary College (sounds like a fancy school, but it is actually just an average public school :P). I was extremely lucky because my arrival time coincided with the (government funded) multimillion dollar upgrade of the school, my brother unfortunately missed alot of the benefits due to being a few years older than me. I was a relatively good student during my first few years, but the my mindset towards study changed drastically between my 9th and 10th years in which I started to top various subjects.

This change was mainly due to my home life. I tried to create a complete diconnect between the two, almost like living two lives. During those years Mum's cancer had spread to over parts of her body such as her liver and back, and I was also moving house on a yearly basis. Throughout this time I made quite a few friends but they did not know about my life outside of school, and I don't even know if they know the real me (so to speak). At home I was pretty quiet and rather shy, while when I was at school I became a completely different person; much more outgoing and always joking around with friends. It some ways it was good as it helped me get my mind off things at home, but in other ways it may of been bad to try to ignore so many things that were also happening.

Then came my 11th year of high school (2008) where my interest in mathematics and science developed even further. Due to this I had another successful academic year. This was also the year that my interest in gaming began again, with the purchase of my first pc. I also see this as my first introduction to the wonders of the internet.

One of the best periods of my life was between the beginning of 2009 to mid 2010. in 2009 I had my HSC (high school certificate) which I assume most of you have variations of in your countries. I studied the most I had ever done in my life over theat year and was rewarded with some great results. Due to this I got into B.Sc (Adv. Math) at Uni of Sydney, and I also got a $6000/year scholarship.

During this my Mum's health was not to great. She broke her hip walking, as the cancer had spread there, so she had to get a hip replacement. A month or so after the surgery her hip was still bad, and we discovered that the doctor had stuffed up the operation so it had to get done again. The only upside was that the cancer was nolonger inside any of her internal organs, and was confined to some bones.

In early 2010 I went on my first overseas holidayto thailand, with my brother. This was quite amazing as me and my brother were not the greatest of friends at the time, because we were quite different (me=nerd, brother=thinks he is cool ;P). But it ended up being a great trip and has strengthened our relationship immensely. I then started my first semester of uni, which when really well.

During the semester break I then went on another overseas trip with my Dad to China. It was amazing. Not only am I interested in chinese history and culture, but my main beverage is tea (black, oolong, green and white!). Although by the end of the trip I had started annoying my Dad as I went into nearly every tea shop that I saw.

Shortly after I returned my second semester started, and a few weeks in my Uncle was killed in a car accident, which was quite devastating, especially for my Mum as he had always given her alot of support over the many years she had been sick. The person who collided with my unlce is on trial atm, which is somehow still going after 1.5 years...

Then came 2011. This was probably one of my worst years I have had. In about June, Mum found a tumor in her neck, which the doctors then proceeded to treat with radiotherapy. A few weeks after being treated my Mum started to have slight trouble breathing, which continued to develop over the coming months. The doctors did not know what was wrong though. In about September we had to have an oxygen machine in our house in order to help her breath as her ability to do so had declined. She had also begun to eat less then usual. This continued till early november, where she was taken to the hospital for the third time in the last 6 months (she had been diagnosed with pneumonia).

Some of the stuff below people may not want to read, I just want to write about what happened

Spoiler: click to toggle

She passed away at 9:15am 27/11/11. Colin, My brother and I then had to organise a funeral and all the associated stuff, which was incredibly overwhelming.

I then had to decide where I was going to live. I ended up getting a room on campus at uni, which has worked out well so far. I also have gotten my first sort of real job, as a researcher in the astrophotonics research group in the school of physics at uni of sydney. So I'm hoping that this year will be a better year than the last, and it has started off quite well so far (job and accomodation wise).

Anyway, I think thats nearly everything, thanks for making this thread and all being amazing people. I hope I will be able to have a greater presense on these forums in the coming months :D.
