I didnt get the feeling it was one sided based on how Ned talked about the situation when he found his sister bloody and dying. They often talk about the feelings between Robert and his sister aswell, and never was it mentioned that the feelings weren't mutual. Ned also often mentions that Renly looks a lot like Robert before he became king, both in looks and charm. Robert was a great man who was ruined by the death of his love, he didnt start off as a drunkard. It's often mentioned how a lot of girls biggest dream was to be with Robert because he was a hero, handsome and fierce. Rhaegar was married with kids with a mad father. He might have been a prince people looked up to but that doesn't change what so many of the nobles know of. That Neds sister was kidnapped and raped is seen as facts in the book, whether it's true or not. But like I said, based on how Ned described the way he found his sister, she had at least been badly badly abused. |

Rhaegar would have been a great king and he had plans to fix all that his father had set wrong for he had the brains to understand the real danger that is the others |

BTW, a few dance with dragons spoilers have been leaked, they might be unsubstantiated, but its apparent ending pisses me off... a lot. Nevertheless, really looking forward too it, and oh by the way, how about a f**king Jon chapter? Tyrion chapter? We haven't had those in ten f**king years, feast for crows was kinda like the DA2 of a song of ice and fire, throughout the whole time reading it I was like... ugh, a Brienne chapter (they're actually pretty interesting but still) how bout some Jon f'in Snow, he's just about the only character I like in this series that isn't dead. And anyone notice the parallels between Melisandre and Morrigan? They're actually quite a few, looks like Bioware likes them some George RR Martin. |

That makes sense, but still, its been over ten years since we had a POV chapter on Jon, Dany, or Tyrion, and they're the three most important characters in the series (arguably) |

Haha yep, I love how he has to basically come out and say "I'm healthy, I'm not gonna die" cause people were scared when he was hospitalized back in January, its amazing how the mindset of some fans is "please don't die please don't die" I mean, the guy isn't exactly in the best of shape, but damn, thats kind of a bad mindset to have there, but hopefully he can release the next few books a little bit quicker than he did with DWD. |

I've read books 1-3, and I have to say, I find the series much better than any of the books. My favourite characters are definitely Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister. |

I'm really liking the cast for Season 2. Can't wait to see King Stannis and Davos in action! |

Stannis is my favourite character from the novels, and I really hope that the series does him justice. |

Good to see another Stannis fan. The actor portraying him is crazy good, so I have high hopes. You should definitely read A Dance With Dragons if you haven't already. Stannis has a lot of great moments. I'm calling it now. I want Stannis on the Iron Throne at the end. |
