Well, in two to three weeks the next anime season will be starting. Anything in particular you're looking forward to? Some of the shows that I'll check out:

Gangsta: Looks like one of the most interesting of the new shows. It seems similar to Black Lagoon, and I like the character designs. Seems like it could be fun in the over the top action kind of way, without the typical shonen cliches. Trailer: https://youtu.be/S30nvSlFg3I

Sore ga Seiyuu!: Typical, fluffy, cute slice of life show with the twist being that the main characters are voice actors. Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3eFj-yuSc0

Monster Musum no Iro Nichijou: Not a fan of ecchi, as most of them are just soft core porn. However, I have always had a soft spot for monster girls. So, I'll give it a shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=28&v=G-IfYF_oesk

Gakkou Gurashi!: Moe girls and zombies are as overused as you can get, but when combined it might turn out to be entertaining.

Damn, and I'm so behind on this seasons stuff (again) because of graduation and shit... Oh well, I'll probably still start watching a ton of summer season stuff, and just fall behind on those as well.

Charlotte: This is almost solely because it's Key Works, but unless it does something special, I might not stick with it.

Gakkou Gurashi!: I do like my magical girls, and as you said, could be an interesting combo.

Gangsta.: I have to agree that this looks like one of the most (if not the most) interesting shows this season. As long as they don't "butcher" the setting and tone of it with too many standard "silly tropes", I think it could be really good.

Gate: Jietai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri: I followed this a bit when it was first announced, but not much since then, although I gotta admit it seems pretty interesting with the "realistic" looking military themes and magical girl themes in the same show.

God Eater: I mean... It's an action series produced by ufotable. Based on a PSP game, though, so there's a chance the story might be lacking a bit, but we'll see.

Joukamachi no Dandelion: Not too sure about this one, but I'll give it a try. Often times, Seinen comedy tend to be pretty bad since they tend to rely too much on sexual jokes (and tons and tons of fanservice), but this is actually action comedy, so maybe it'll do better. Also, no signs of ecchi yet.

Prison School: This is probably one of the shows I'm most excited about, next to Gangsta. It is tagged ecchi, but I've seen a lot of bits and pieces from the manga showing off those parts, and it's (for the most part) not your standard ecchi stuff, and the comedy in it is really good, imo.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou: Mostly cuz I know the game... No other reason, really... None...

Overlord: Another one of those "stuck in a game" ones, except he's not stuck in the game (he's just playing still, if I understand correctly), and the MC is the "evil" guy, trying to take over the world after the NPCs come alive.

Rokka no Yuusha: Cuz I like the artstyle, and it sounds like it could be something.

It was a game? As far as I can see Monster Musume was just a manga series until the anime was announced.

Oh wow... I totally thought "Monster Girl Quest" was the same as Monster Musume... I mean, they still seem to be almost the same thing (but Monster Musume seems more SOL, no?), so whatever.

Working season 3 (Yes!)
Okusama ga Seito Kaichou!
Aoharu x Kikanjuu
Joukamachi no Dandelion
Ushio to Tora (TV)(synopsis sounds a lot like Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki)
Wakaba*Girl
Classroom ☆ Crisis
Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai
Dragon Ball Super (probably after it gets dubbed though, as this is an actual sequel to the original DBZ serie, rather than DBGT)
Wakako-zake
Jitsu wa Watashi wa (I actually started the manga, and it's pretty funny)
Sore ga Seiyuu!
Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou
Danchigai
Kangoku Gakuen (started reading the manga awhile back, but only a handful of chapters had ever been translated)
Charlotte

Note: List may get considerably shorter as series get dropped.

I'm scared what's going to happen in the next/last episode of Snafu.

Same here. So many ways to go with it, and it being a series that doesn't follow typical "norms" of similar series, it can play out a number of ways.

That said, Assassination Classroom is over, for this season (season 2 has been confirmed for 2016!). Definitely a "don't judge a book by it's cover" in regards to the title. I quite enjoyed it. And the ending was pretty satisfying too. You don't get that too often. You might get an "okay" ending with some series, while others almost makes you mad you enjoyed the rest of the series, get invested in the characters, etc, only for it to have a crap ending (this goes for other things as well, including the original ending to a game series we all know here). This ending though, works. And with season 2 confirmed, I'm eager to see what it brings. Easily a 8.5/10.

I mean, I kinda have the opposite problem. I start way too many shows every season because they sound even the tiniest bit interesting, and I end up just dropping so many shows, or just falling behind on them and never get around to pick them up again. Gotta find a middle-ground.

It's: "By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"

Yeah, 90s kid. What can I say. Not the "smartest" show, but the theme song really sticks.

I admit, I'm kind of picky. Not a fan of gore shows (anime or otherwise really), not a big fan of strictly drama, especially when the drama could easily be avoided or when it's overwhelmingly depressing, and horror. Never really liked horror at all. Supernatural is fine, but when it crosses the line of gore and/or horror, nope.

So outside of those, I'm pretty open. Even some mecha I'll try.

I mean, if we're talking more like "some things I'll never watch", then sure, there's probably a lot of stuff I'm missing out on because of that too. I mean, even though I try to watch so many shows at once, I do skip a lot of them, because there are some genres (or categories, rather) that I've just had generally bad experiences with.

Some of these would probably be:

Mecha: Depends on the type of mecha, and how much it's actually in the show (Guilty Crown is tagged mecha, but hardly a focus), but if it's big, gundam stuff, then I won't watch it, cuz it just doesn't seem fun.

Pure SOL: It gets boring... I have a really short attention span, actually, so I have a hard time just watching more than 1 episode at a time to begin with, so when it's just talking about random "fun" things, or skits, it doesn't hold my interest...

Pure romcoms: Same here, kinda. Unless it does something very special, I just can't stay interested, because it's all so generic, and you know exactly how everything will turn out (they like each other, nobody says anything at first, something dumb happens that causes drama, they get over it, they get together). Like, I love Oregairu because of Hachiman, I liked Nyan Koi! cuz of the twist as well, etc. But like, stuff like Toradora, which is often said to be THE best romcom out there, I can't watch, cuz it has nothing "special", it just happens to have the "best" writing in this genre.

Ecchi + Harem: Shouldn't really have to explain why not...

Shoujo: This is probably the worst one, too. Especially since I've seen shoujo shows which I actually like. It's just that generally, they have such weird artstyles, and the writing always seems to be on the low side as well, so I dunno...

Anything else I'm all for , though!

I watch basically anything but horror or pure SOL, as long as the shows aren't shit.

I think the main types of shows I avoid unless I hear really good things about them are shonen and ecchi/harem. Well, for Shonen it's more for shows that try to emulate DBZ and Bleach, I like action anime that's a bit more gritty or somehow manages to separate itself from the big 3 of shonen. I think the last typical shonen I really gave a shot to was Strike the Blood, which was actually kinda good through it's first two story arcs, but then became a harem with occasional fights.
