Caught up on anime today, except for Gangsta and God Eater, so far I like what I'm watching. Charlotte is still promising, and I like how the episodes are set up. Gate is basically what I expected, but done rather well. Durarara is still the same old Durarara.

Usagi Drop might've been the most heartwarming show I've ever seen.

Anime is heart warming. Just don't read the manga where the anime leaves off. It takes away that feeling in a M. Knight Shaymalan kind of way (unseen, unneeded, and unliked). Anime ends at the perfect spot.

Well, better to link to the actual site than a screencap of it, I guess...

http://anichart.net/fall

But as for the topic at hand, at first glance, this may actually be the first time I actually agree with you completely on this. Apart from some sequels (Noragami, Owari no Seraph, Owarimonogatari), there's nothing that really grabs my interest right away without looking more into them. So the only show I actually know I'll watch right now, is One Punch Man (seriously, how could you not want to watch this?).

Looking more into it, however, I'd say my Fall Season list goes like this (pretty much from "best" to "worst"):

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru - Reading the synopsis on AniChart made it seem like this was going to be a romcom about the situation this dude got into because he has a beautiful girlfriend, but when reading it on MAL, it seems to actually be a mystery anime, which is cool.

Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider - Another mystery anime. This seems like it could be a bit darker than the girlfriend one, but at the same time the cover image makes me think the opposite, so those two are kind of on-par for now, I guess.

Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou - Superpowers are good, and from the synopsis it seems like an interesting setup.

Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen - Sounds good... enough... It all depends on how it ends up being after that starting point, I guess, if it's just going to be stupid episodic stuff, or actually have some sort of overarching plot. But at least Taneda Risa is voicing the MC, so that's cool.

Heavy Object - Sounds like a pretty standard action series, but maybe it will have something good going on. Or it'll just flop completely, we'll see.

Comet Lucifer - This sounds so generic, but I'll probably still give it a try...

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry - This seems like such an Index-setup, but like it's gonna be done in such a stupid way... And still I want to at least give it a try, although I think we can all say how this show is gonna play out.

Skipped over all the ecchi/harem stuff this time, so that's basically it for me, I think. Oh, and there's also a movie, Harmony, which I practically only want to watch because the image it had on AniChart looked really cool, and EGOIST sings the theme song.

Charlotte - Episode 3 Impression - (8/10):
Still liking this, although I get the feeling that they will probably stick to the "episodic" setup they've got going for a while now. I mean, it's fine as long as it's entertaining to watch, and it's better than some forced overarching plot about saving the world, but I just feel like there could be more to it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see about that, though. As for everything else, it pretty much feels the same as first episode level of quality, although I gotta say I really, really hate Yusa... Misa is ok, but seeing how Yusa is the one that seems to get the most time as of now, that kinda sucks.

For the fall season, just looking at the new shows:

Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider - Mystery anime can be good at times, if the director and writer give the storyline good pacing. Seems worth checking out at least.

Heavy Object: I'm kinda neutral on mecha anime, and usually don't check it out unless one of the genre tags or characters seems really interesting. With Heavy Object, it looks kinda generic to be honest. However, it's directed by Takashi Watanabe the same guy behind the Slayers series and Boogiepop Phantom. That caught my interest. I'll give this a three episode try.

One Punch Man: I've seen a few random pages of this manga and it seems to be a good parody of shonen series.

Hidan no Aria AA: Can't say I've expecting a lot out of this, but there's at least some chance of it being entertaining.

For continuing shows:

Is the Order a Rabbit?: I like slice of life and the first season had it's fair share of cute and funny moments. Hopefully there'll be more Metal Gear Solid references.

Haven't watched Utawarerumono (the one above may be a long awaited sequel or a re-telling of the original) in a long time. Weird, but good. Though I had to look up the wiki to find out the background to the main character. Also quite violent and bloody. Set in a Sengoku-era like time period, but all the humans have some kind of animal ears. If you get a chance, check it out.

So I might be slightly biased here since I don't watch a lot of dubs, but I think they really messed up with Nic. Right after he kicks the car he speaks way too clearly, and it doesn't at all have that same feel as the sub, imo.

Watching Himouto umaru-chan, i get sad and angry, that show tears at my souls since the girl is the biggest fucking leech and cunt in the universe. Maybe i would't care so much if my sister weren't the same and i hate POS people that don't contribute anything or appreciate other people good will. I want to fucking kick her ass every time i see an episode and just hope the brother gets enough and kicks her the fuck out.

Here's an interesting video discussing cinematography in anime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVRJiY8rcc8

I love videos like that which talks about different aspects of film making and how it applies to anime, and he was right - it's not something I think about at all. Then again, it's not exactly something I put a lot of attention towards in live-action movies either, so it's probably a given that I wouldn't in anime either. Still, it's interesting to think about, especially when it comes to analysis of a series, since like he (kinda) says, somebody puts everything in place here - even more so in anime than in live-action where a prop can accidentally be left out.
