"Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru" is unofficialy shortened as "NouCome", fyi.

And so many people so many people seem to say GT is really good, so at this point I think I'm better of just waiting (even tho I kinda really want to start watching it), as I'm already watching 5 or so shows weekly...

NouCome is terrible in my opinion. Could've been awesome if the choices weren't stupid as shit and always the same, revolving around cheap sex jokes and fanservice. If there were only a few like that, I guess it could've been funny, but literally all of them are like that. The series is overall barely funny at all. Some parts were pretty good, but there aren't enough of them to make it worthwhile. I also find most of the characters to be annoying as hell, like that chocolat chick whose only purpose seems to be acting cute and stupid because cute and stupid makes characters funny. Problem is, it really doesn't. It makes them annoying and that's it. Of all the characters, the only ones I actually like are the loli teacher and the god guy. The MC is alright, he's basically every MC of rom coms ever, so I can tolerate him.

I was really hyped for it. Sounded like a great idea, but so far (4 episodes, so basically 40% of the series (math genius right here) ), it's only been a huge disappointment. Though apparently people say it gets better (das wat dave told me anyway) so I guess I'll catch up and see if it's worth anything later on.

Golden Time is great though, despite the awkward speed as Pong said.

NouCome....... Oh well. Indeed it's not great but i like cheap jokes, mostly since i just watch shows like those to pass my gigantic amount of free time. can't say if it gets better since i don't really pay attention. But as i said watch it if you have FREE time.

I can't watch it after the first episode... It's just kinda meh in general.

I expected it to be better, but oh well.

Personally, I think Noucome is one of the better shows for this season. Beyond the main gimmick of the show, it's a parody of harem and ecchi anime, mocking all the standard tropes therein by taking them to the extreme. To me, it's been pretty entertaining, I find the characters likable, and I just like how it doesn't take itself seriously at all. Plus, it had a G Gundam reference and a School days reference in the same episode. That was awesome.

Well... Episode 13 of Ergo Proxy is officially the weirdest thing I've ever seen in any show... I don't even know anymore...

EDIT: Meant episode 14... 13 is pretty normal, actually.

Haha, just watched that. That was probably the best backstory/lore explaining episode I've ever seen!

Also, just now realised why the virus is called the "Cogito virus"... Like, quite a bit of the dialog in this show comes back to the phrase "I think, therefore I am", which in Latin is "cogito ergo sum". Turns out that it's also commonly known as "the cogito". So yea, then it makes a lot more sense (instead of being just some random word), since it gives the victims a "heart", allowing them to think and act for themselves...

At the same time, I don't really get how the "ergo" part fits into the title... (The "proxy" is quite obvious, tho).

That means you've gotten to my favorite episode: episode 16, Dead Calm.

I can't remember - can we discuss manga in this thread as well? I need to get back into reading manga. :( Some of the kids at school are reading the likes of Inuyasha, Bleach, Ranma 1/2 and Fairytail. There are animes of all these, if I'm not mistaken. Yer opinions of these animes?

You can discuss manga in here, yes. You could create a new thread for it if you really wanted, but afaik not too many people here read manga (I might be totally wrong though), and then it might be better just keeping it to this thread. I'd still be fine with a separate manga thread, however.

Out of the ones you mentioned, I think the only one I'd ever watch at some point is Inuyasha. A lot of people seem to say it's actually really good, and the premise of it kinda reminds me of Oda Nobuna, I guess. As for the others, I'm staying far away from the likes of Bleach and Fairytail. Long-running shounen just don't interest me at all.
Ranmna is also supposed to be pretty good, but I'm kinda unsure about watching that as of now...

@Raine, ep 16 was definitely interesting. Maybe it's because it is like, the only episode that doesn't mindfuck you throughout the entire episode...

Bleach started out good but suffered from a lot of filler and just being way to long for it's own good. Inuyasha is a fairly good anime. Haven't seen Ranma 1/2 but I know a lot of people like it. I don't know enough about Fairy Tale to comment on it.

I can imagine that most of these shows (Bleach, Fairy Tail, Naruto, One Piece etc) actually start out fairly good, but I mean, for how long can you really keep a story going while still keeping it interesting? Let's just say that number is far less than 600 episodes... I guess if I ever were to watch any of these, I'd only watch an episode now and then, when I just felt like watching some fighting scenes. At this point, I wouldn't watch it for the "story", but that's just me.

I just skipped all the filler episodes in bleach, same with naruto and shipuden and One piece. Makes for a much better anime, you don't really miss anything anyway.
