Ranma 1/2 has more than a few 'misunderstanding' moments. As for 'One Piece' and other mangas I've fallen behind because of other really cool distractions.

Ok, so Samuenco is actually starting to pick up now... Wonder how they're gonna deal with the remaining 13 ep tho...

This looks... interesting...

In terms of the setting itself, the prologue apparently takes place ChäoS;HEAd, but the main story takes place after Steins;Gate, but before Robotic;Notes... I'd assume, however, that they're probably as related as any of the other shows are (which is like, barely at all in terms of story AFAIK). So yea...

Also, LOLI WORLD DOMINATION WITH HANAZAWA KANA

I've mostly caught up on Little Busters finally. Though now I gotta wait for new episodes, which sucks. Depending on how they handle the big reveal (I do know what it is but I don't know how they're going to show it in the anime), this will likely end up as my favorite anime for 2013.

I finished C today.

It seems it has gotten some hate, but I'm not sure why. I thought it was decent.

Gotta love talks about money I guess.

So, KnK finished airing now, and I have to say I really liked it. I liked the characters, the art, the setting, and I wouldn't necessarily say the story is bad. One of the things that amazed me the most was how incredibly well they transitioned between serious and comedy all the time, and the amazing usage of the ED (so many feels). However, while not spoiling anything, there were still some bad things.

Pros:
  • Amazing Art (KyoAni Standard)
  • Likeable characters
  • Really cool concept and setting
  • Awesome music
  • Manages to be really funny, and really serious at the same time
  • Dat idol scene
Cons:
  • Very little character development
  • Story is a bit "all over the place"
  • Ending is so out of place...

To start this post off, there'll be no new WAD this week, cuz christmas and stuff, so just carry on with your daily lives (since so many of you participate in that <.<)...

Anyway, so bored, so I thought I'd do like a little recap of the most recent stuff I watched, so here goes...

Not gonna rewrite everything for KnK, as it's just above this post, so just gonna skip that. As for the other shows of this season (which are still airing), Kill la Kill had some interesting twists while continuing to maintain the same quality for the jokes and all that, which was good. Log Horizon is still as funny (maybe more so, since Rudy got more screentime), AND we have a real story now! Tbh, I haven't even watched the 2 latest episodes of Samuenco. I mean, the last ep I saw really picked up the story, but for some reason I still kinda feel like it's not worth watching atm... Maybe I should put that on hold until it's finished airing...
As for the last one, Strike the Blood, I'm not sure how I feel about it anymore. I mean, a lot of stuff in this show is so "convenient" (like in many other shounen), and in some episodes the ecchi stuff is just a bit too much, imo. There's also the thing with the minions...
Ep 12 spoiler

So yea, still like the setting and all that stuff, but it's beginning to become a little too much...

In other news, the only other thing I actually finished recently was the S;G movie, which was amazing. So sad, tho. Also, drunk Kurisu <3

I've also been (somewhat) watching Psycho-Pass, but this is just the type of show I have an even harder time to marathon, even if I find it really interesting. I like the characters (especially Kou), the "mysteries", and the setting a lot. Speaking of which, the environment or w/e reminds me so much of the future arc in Mnemosyne. I mean, so much is almost exactly the same in regards to the "everyday utilities"...

I'm also gonna start RxJ soon, so we'll see how that is. I was also thinking of finding something new to watch weekly, since KnK is done, but I noticed that so many of the fall shows are finished, that I might as well spend my time watching those instead (like Machine-doll). Oh, and for some reason have an urge to watch Darker than Black...

Yeah. Strike the Blood started great but in the newest arc, it seems to be going downhill. Like a lot of shonen anime, it seems.

Also, SAO Extra Edition was like, 70% recap, 15% swimsuit, and 15% actual stuff.

It was k.

Ok, so just watched the SAO Extra Edition, and let's just say Zyan isn't lying...

In total it's 100 minutes long, and the first 80 minutes are basically a long recap of the first season, with some swimsuit mixed into it. The last 20 minutes were... Ok, I guess, but doesn't really feel like it was actually anything important, so to speak, and more of a "filler" thing, to have something new in there as well. Also, the post-credit scene makes very little sense unless you know about the beginning of GGO already, so there's that (not to mention I completely forgot the dude's name, so...).

Anyway, it was fun to watch atleast, tho I guess it would be much better to watch something like this closer to the release of SAO2, since it's mostly just a recap.

I'm also trying to figure out if I missed something, or if the MAL page is wrong. See, MAL says that the ED should be "Yume Sekai" by Aoi Eir (the "Yume Sekai" from SAO was sung by Tomatsu Haruka, so it'd either be a cover, a completely different song, or they put the wrong artist), but the song that plays at the end of the episode is actually "Niji no Oto" by Aoi Eir, which also happens to be the OP, so... As of now, I'm confused. I liked the song, tho.

Oh, also saw that Sawashiro Miyuki (Kanbaru, Bakemonogatari; Takanashi, BRS; Inaba, KokoroCo) voices one of the main characters in SAO2, Shino Asada. Speaking of which, just based on the art of Shino, and the description of her character, I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out to be my favorite character...

Well, just watched a bunch of short stuffl, so...

Watched "Death Billiards", which was actually pretty good. I mean, it's only 25 minutes, but it's pretty intense during that part, and delivers some good characters and writing. 8/10.

Next up was "Nekojiru-sou" (Cat Soup). This is a surrealistic, psychological anime, and well... It was interesting, to say the least. There's basically no voice acting in the entire thing, and what little dialog there is either comes from images or text on the screen. The story is basically that one little cat has to go save his sister, since she became braindead after her soul was ripped in half. So his sister just kinda aimlessly follows her brother while they embark on trippy adventures... It's really weird, and very little in this makes sense at a first glance... For what it is tho, I guess 7/10.

Kono Danshi, Uchuujin to Tatakaemasu. (This boy can fight aliens), was also pretty good. It felt very much like something out of a Monogatari series, but a bit more lighthearted. The reason I compare it to Monogatari, is that while the character animation might feel stiff, and sub-par (you might even say "bad"), a lot of what's going on is told through flashing text, large on-screen indicators, dictionary popups and so on, much like the Monogatari series do. All in all, it was actually really good, and could've probably fit pretty well as a full-length series. 8/10.
Apparently, there's also a second OVA in the "kono danshi" series, titled "This boy caugth a mermaid", (which is apparently also Shounen Ai), but I couldn't find that, so...

Also watched ep 14 of Log Horizon, which continues to be absolutely great. Seems like this was one of the few shows that didn't take a break during the holidays, either...

Made more progress on Season 3 of One Piece. Warship/Lost Island may not be part of the manga but it's quite a powerful group of episodes. That or I'm sentimental.

So, you've read the manga as well?

Also, noticed that there are 2 spoilers (one of them is more like foreshadowing, tho) in the OP for Log Horizon, and I've also noticed something which might be a huge plot point...

Log Horizon foreshadowing (minor)

Sinon is my 2nd favorite character... They also go into her backstory a lot with GGO.

I'm really excited to see how well they animate it, because GGO was just mind blowing to read.

And MAL is probably just wrong.
