I'm reading the manga as well. Our heroes are dealing with the Baroque Works. Must reread those books again. |

@Zyan, Well, there's no trace of it in the actual episode, but it exists... Speaking of which, Niji no Oto is such a great song, been listening to it most of the day. @Wry, Are you ahead in the manga? How does it compare to the series? |

I am ahead in the manga but not by much. So far, I've only come across a couple of arcs only found in the anime. |

So over the past two days I've watched... 2nd episode of KnK 2nd episode of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled 1st episode of Unbreakable Machine Doll and episodes 2-4 of Railgun S. Too many shows, not large enough attention span. Except for Code Geass. The third one just isn't out yet. |

Kinda lost interest in Strike the Blood. I really wanted to like it for the main character, but they're starting to push the ecchi side of it a bit too much. I've picked up Blast of Tempest, and after two episodes, I'm really impressed, especially with the two main male characters. It's great seeing heroes in an action series that are actually competent and smart. Plus, the Shakespeare quotes are cool. |

Yea, I kinda feel the same about StB... On the other hand, I watched the first episode of Noragami, which is currently airing in the Winter 2014 season, and I really liked it. Basically, it feels a bit like KnK, cuz it has a lot of spirit fighting, but there's also a lot of humor. The story is more or less that this one guy, Yato, who's actually a minor god wants to gain a bunch of followers and become a major god. One day he meets Hiyori Iki, who gets hit by a bus, and "dies". She somehow survives that but now her soul and body are not fully connected, and it seems her soul may slip out of her body at times. After that, she basically just joins up with Yato. All the gods seem to also have a sidekick, or a so-called "senki" (sacred treasure), who can transform into a weapon. I thought that was also pretty cool. Apart from that, it's actually pretty funny, and the art looks nice. The VAs are also a pretty good bunch. Yato is voiced by Kamiya Hiroshi (Araragi, Bakemonogatari / Otonashi, Angel Beats), Hiyori is voiced by Uchida Maaya (Rikka, Chu-2), and a certain character who's not introduced yet is voiced by Kaji Yuki (Eren, AoT / Shu, GC), so I find it pretty neat that I actually know so many of the VAs this time. To add to that, of the supporting characters, just by looking at the names, I recognize 3 more actors. Toyosaki Aki (Yui, K-On / Iori, KokoroCo, Uiharu, "RailDex") Sawashiro Miyuki (Inaba, KokoroCo / Yomi, BRS / Kanbaru, _monogatari) (also one of my personal favorites) Kugimiya Rie (Alphonse, FMA:BH / Shana, SnS / Louise, ZnT) |

Norigami is one of the most interesting looking of the new series. The others that have really caught my attention are Hamatora, Nobunaga the Fool, Nobunagum, and Strange+.

So now I decided to watch Hamatora as well, and I feel like this can be really good. I especially liked the powers, and how they're only activated by specific actions (like blowing bubblegum), so I'm hoping we learn a lot more (I tend to love series with these wide variety of powers and such). Also, Kamiya Hiroshi (Araragi VA) is apparently in this too... AND, the girl I anticipate to be best girl/my favorite, is voiced by Kato Emiri! (Hachikuji, Kyubey) |

Ok, first of all, WAD is gonna be back next week (voting starts on Wednesday as usual), and if my plan has worked, more people will hopefully be joining in on it. BUT NOW RECAP TIME! Kill la Kill: Ep 13 and still very good. I like how they're actually going forward with the actual story now, as opposed to keeping it to mindless fighting (which was still very enjoyable, mind you). Mahou Sensou: Kinda disappointed with this, tbh. As you may know, I was really hyped for this show, even though I actually didn't know anything about it, so I guess all my excitement came from the picture on MAL and the name itself. In any case, the first episode was kinda meh. It had a bunch of fanservice, some pretty stupid plot elements, the voice acting felt kinda sub-par, and I guess the animation wasn't THAT great either. The music's cool, tho. It still has a cool concept and all (gotta love individual magical powers), but I'm hoping it gets much better than this. Log Horizon: Probably my second favorite from the Fall 2013 season. It's just so good! It has a lot of depth, both in terms of characters, and in terms of the world, and it's really noticable that the creator of this is a big MMO-fan. It's also great that the story's begun to pick up a lot more during the later episodes. Noragami: Still funny, and very good. It seems the story's progressing rather slowly, as they're spending time on introducing all the aspects of the world (even tho it's only 12 ep, I'm not really worried, since KnK did the same thing), but there was some progression (in a way) at the end of ep 2. Waiting to see how Hiyori deals with her problems, and hoping we continue to learn a lot more about the world, especially about the other gods (maybe even seeing them). Strike the Blood: Well, StB is... still StB... Granted, this episode had very little ecchi/harem stuff, but the way that ended can only mean that the ecchi/harem stuff will be taking up A LOT of time later on. Also, a theory on what's to come, based on what happened in the last episode: Spoiler: click to toggle Romeo x Juliet: Almost done with RxJ now, so I'll be doing a writeup of that once I actually finish it. Pacing is so weird tho, so we'll see when I actually come around to that <.< Okay, I actually watched Sakura Trick now, as well. I've gotta say, this was really, really funny. Sure, there's quite a bit of fanservice and whatnot, but in a show like this, that's to be expected, and they use it in such a way that it's not like you're sitting there thinking about how much of a perv you are, but it's more like they use it to keep the show funny. What have one piece become, 90% you watch the last 2 min of the episode and move on, the rest you watch 30% then move on. It's just filler upon filler then longer fucking fights than dragonballsz. You would think they pick up the pace by now, but no. On a completely different note, just finished the first and second season of (The world only god knows), it's pretty fun but can be tedious at times. Decent enough to watch whenever. |

Would it be better to read the manga of One Piece then instead of watch the anime? |

Somewhere around 300 ish it gradually becomes worse. What it is now is simply, a company that's run out of ideas and are now trying to milk a dying cow. There are still some good fight scenes but it's become a worse version of dragonballz, super long fights(some are up to 20 episodes) with 50% talking 40% repeating the same moves over and over again, and 10% just random bullshit. The last fight was everyone except Luffy did fuck all but run around like retards, Luffy got caught in a trash room. I would not waste my time on it. It's good but that's still a long stretch, after the break they make which is after 500 episodes or something, it turns in to complete shit. But it's still only good before that like a 4-5. |

I've watched the first episode both of the Nobunaga shows of this season. And after the first impression, I really like both. Nobunagun: It's like Evangelion mated with, well, anything directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi. I really how the colors change with the mood and Shio seems like she has potential to be a good lead character. Nobunaga The Fool: AKA The League of Extraordinary Historical Gentleman. The character designs are great and I like Nobunaga's personality. I just hope is that Joan of Arc doesn't end up as a damsel in distress or something along those lines. |
