Somewhere around 300 ish it gradually becomes worse. What it is now is simply, a company that's run out of ideas and are now trying to milk a dying cow.

There are still some good fight scenes but it's become a worse version of dragonballz, super long fights(some are up to 20 episodes) with 50% talking 40% repeating the same moves over and over again, and 10% just random bullshit. The last fight was everyone except Luffy did fuck all but run around like retards, Luffy got caught in a trash room.

I would not waste my time on it. It's good but that's still a long stretch, after the break they make which is after 500 episodes or something, it turns in to complete shit. But it's still only good before that like a 4-5.
Even the manga? Not good. :(

Can't say if the manga is good or not.

I'm following the manga as well as the anime; staying ahead with the manga. Maybe I'll foresee when things start going fubar.

Watched the first episode of Hamatora. I really enjoy how colorful the animation is. Also, it reminds me a little of Get Backers. I don't think it'll be one of the best new shows, but it'll be fairly entertaining.

Ano Natsu de Matteru, holy shit that ending wrecked me, anime is really good, really really good. Anyway, incredibly good anime with a well done story. 9-10/10.

So, just looked at the new Spring Season Chart, and kinda bored, so now I'm typing this...

Spring doesn't have as many series (as winter) that I'm really excited for, but there are some which I'm actually pretty interested in.

Shows I'm REALLY excited for:

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: This is just another one of those shows I got hyped for even before there was a synopsis for it (so I'm probably gonna end up disappointed). I do love magic and stuff like that, and if this features some kind of "specialized powers" (like Railgun or even Mahou Sensou), then that's even better. There's also the fact that the younger sister is supposed to be some sort of perfect child/student, and it's always awesome when characters like that are able to really show off just what they can do. It's tagged shounen on MAL, but hopefully it doesn't involve the usual bullshit like certain other shows (Index, to name just one), since it's rated really high on MAL (8.60 by 918 users, which I guess is really high for a manga).
On top of that, Nakamura Yuuichi (Ross from Senyuu and Gai from GC) is the VA for the male MC. And on top of that, it's made by Madhouse, so that's awesome!

Black Bullet: Pretty much same as above. Was hyped for this before there was any real information, but the premise seems ok and it's tagged seinen on MAL, so it will probably be a bit more mature or darker in terms of story. Both the LN and Manga are rated slightly below 8 on MAL (but the LN has like 34 ratings, and the manga has 600-ish), so it seems good enough in that regard. There are a few more VA's I actually recognize or care about here as well, like Horie Yui (Hanekawa from _monogatari), who voicess some "main" character I know nothing about; Kaji Yuki (Shu from GC, Yukine from Noragami, Satoru from SSY) who voices the male MC, and Yuki Aoi (Madoka from PMMM), who just voices some supporting character. The actual female MC is voiced by Hidaka Rina (Silica from SAO, Nagisa from StB), so we'll see how that works out...

Hitsugi no Chaika: So now I realise that all 3 of these shows are just the ones I didn't know anything about when I discovered them, and there's a chance that just stuck. Source material rated slightly lower, tagged shounen, synopsis seems ok, at best. On the upside, however, it's made by Bones (FMA:BH), so there's that.

Shows I'm somewhat excited for:

Brynhildr in the Darkness: Saw the PV and just thought "this might be pretty cool", and the source material is rated pretty well, so that's basically it (not much info for this yet). Oh, it's also seinen, so that's good.

Mekaku City Actors: So this is a show based on the vocaloid song series "Kagerou Days". That's pretty unusual, but I like vocaloid, and the songs from the actual series are pretty good, so we'll see how this turns out. At least the manga is rated really well. It's also made by Shaft, which is my favorite studio.

No Game No Life: Never heard about this before I read the chart, but I really like the premise, and Madhouse is making it, so that's also good. For some reason, I just have the feeling that there might be heavy incest implications, but that's just a feeling, so let's ignore that for now...

Shows that seem ok / that I expect to be pretty mediocre but that I'll probably watch anyway:

Nanana's Buried Treasure: Again, just found this. It's tagged comedy, but even though it's not tagged ecchi, the cover art leads me to believe otherwise, which could also mean a lot of the jokes are based on sexual misunderstandings and all that cheap stuff. Haven't really seen much at all from A-1, but they don't necessarily seem like the best studio for a comedy show, but I might be wrong...

Ping Pong the Animation: Seinen sports series... I've only really heard that this is one of the best sports series some people have read, because it's apparently a lot more realistic in what it does (none of the "usual sports bullshit"), tho I haven't really seen any actual sports shows, so it's hard to tell and all.

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou: Comedy, but just the synopsis screams of cheap sex jokes and sexual misunderstandings. Hopefully it's better than that, but not getting my hopes up.

Akuma no Riddle: Ok so, at first I thought "This sounds pretty cool", but then the last sentence of the synopsis + the fact that it's yuri might make it sort of weird. Not the fact that it's yuri, but in what little yuri I've seen, it's REALLY prominent, which might be annoying, especially in a show like this... However, I was ready to look past that, but now I'm kinda unsure if I even dare give this show a try. See, the studio that's making this, Diomedea, is the studio behind "Astarotte", "Kodomo no Jikan", and NouCome, so I think there's a really big chance it'll turn out incredibly sexual and just plain bad, probably.

Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to: I don't even know why I listed this... It's harem, ecchi, the synopsis is just bad, and the studio is... well, they have a reputation with shows like this...

Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii: Apparently the only interesting shoujo to air in spring, but it sounds like a decent romance. Studio Pierrot is behind this one, tho I don't really know much about them apart from the fact that they did the art for Korra book 2. This could probably be in the above group, but since romance isn't really part of my top 3 genres, I just put it here...

Ecchi stuff is not my forte... I don't think it is, at any rate.

It's been a while since I've been in on any discussions around here, so I figured I'd post some thoughts about Trigun:

9 Episodes in to Pyscho-Pass so far, really enjoying it. Obviously, it's a really really dark show, I kind of see it as a mix of Minority Report and Silence of the Lambs, except with a 22 episode series, you can really flesh out character and plot development a lot better than a 2 hr film.

A couple of observations so far:

To be fair, most of my post in this thread are generally 5 or so days apart (because they're usually updates on the shows I watch weekly), so not that long time has passed since I last posted here, really. It just so happens that my next post didn't happen close to you posting.

In any case, I'll watch and post about the new episodes later (once Log Horizon airs), but until then, here are some news/cool things I found out recently.

1. F/SN remake is airing this fall.

2. Goro Miyazaki (son of Hayao Miyazaki, director of "From Up on Poppy Hill" and "Tales of Earthsea") is making, for the first time (think it's also the first time for Ghibli) a TV series. Sanzoku no Musume Ronia, based on Swedish author Astrid Lindgren's "Ronja Rövardotter", will also be airing this fall. Since I happen to be Swedish and saw this movie a lot as a kid, I'm actually kinda excited to see how something like this turns out.

3. No Madoka = no Psycho-Pass. Yeah, turns out Katsuyuki Motohiro, of I.G. Production, was so amazed by Madoka, that he went on to read other things made by Urobochi Gen, and later requested him to write a new script, which then became Psycho-Pass.

I would share my thoughts but everybody's so far ahead of me in their shows. I'm not nearly as dedicated as these guys.

Ok, here goes with the "weekly update"... I don't really have anything to say about some of these, but I include them just to let you know that I still find them good.

Hamatora The Animation: Story is actually progressing nicely, as opposed to just being "job of the week", which is good. I feel like this could turn out really dark (I mean, it already kinda is, if you think about it), depending on how well they handle Moral (as in the character...).

Kill la Kill: Still good. It's able to remain as a funny, over-the-top comedy/action show without overdoing it, and on top of it all it actually has a pretty interesting story which is also moving along more in the later episodes.

Log Horizon: Seeing how there are only 7 episodes left of this, and we're in the middle of an arc right now (there's a chance it's resolved next episode, or the one after that), I'm really expecting a second season, because there's just too much to cover.

Mahou Sensou: It's getting better, but still nothing great. Too many conveniences, generic characters and the romance sub-plot is stupid and annoying.

Noragami: Most likely my favorite of this season. It's still really funny, it looks great, and the actual god/regalia parts are pretty cool. At this point, there's not much of a story, but even if it continues like this it'll probably remain very good.

Sakura Trick: Still really funny, unless you have some sort of problem with the fact that it's yuri.

Strike the Blood: Plot twists. Harem. Cliff hangers. Ecchi.

As for Samurai Flamenco, I still haven't watched that past episode 9 (which was weird, cuz that's when it started to pick up agian), and now it's rated under 7 on MAL. The problem is that a lot of these ratings probably come from people who lowered their scores at episode 8, and then stopped watching, so it's hard to tell what quality the remaining episodes had.

Wry

I think you should share your thoughts on whatever it is you're watching, even if we've already seen it or whatever. I mean, it's not like only one person is allowed to talk about a series, and if nothing else, it might start discussions.
