Haven't watched the anime in sometime, but I have been keeping up on the manga. Let's just say in the latest arc, there is one hell of a plot twist.
And this series has over 700 volumes and has been going on since the 1990s. It makes DBZ look short, and that's saying something.

WAD ANNOUNCEMENT: The next WAD will be cancelled for the time being, and will continue in 2 weeks. The reason for this is simply because of the fact that spring season is starting this coming week.
On to more general stuff... Today when I came home, I sat down in front of my computer, and thought to myself "I should finish Nobunagun today, and then maybe watch some more Hyouka". Well, turns out I didn't do any of that, because I happened to find a 720p version of Rebellion (third Madoka movie)! Still all wound up after it, but here are my thoughts on it (spoilers are marked):
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Movie 3: Hangyaku no Monogatari I loved this movie. It was simply amazing. I wouldn't say it's better than the original series, but it's very close, and there's a big difference since they deal with pretty different subjects and I guess the series has a more "overwhelming" feel to it, so to speak. The ending to the original series was very satisfying, to the point where no matter how much you wanted more of Madoka, you still felt satisfied with what you got (because that totally makes sense when I say it like that). Despite this, Rebellion did an amazing job at following up on the ending of the series, and in my honest opinion, I'm a lot more pleased with the new ending we got, even if it doesn't have the same feel to it. It was very well written, and had quite a few twists. In fact, at times it felt really confusing (especially near the beginning), but fortunately that all (mostly) cleared up towards the ending. The problem is that there are a lot of small things everywhere, which are very easy to miss if you're not paying it your full attention, and don't have the entire backlog of events in your head. In addition, the music was as amazing as always (had a lot of remade songs from the previous works), but SHAFT really stepped up their game on the animation on this one. The scenes just look amazing, even the witch/wraith ones (or those ones especially), and Rebellion probably has the most extreme head tilt in any anime, ever. Ok, so what's gonna follow is probably going to contain a lot more spoilers, and consists of my thoughts on the ending itself, which got a lot of hate for various reasons. The short, non-spoiler version of it however is: I liked the ending, and most of the complaints come from a lack of understanding. Rebellion Ending Spoilers Most of the complaints I've seen for the ending (which also happen to be like, the biggest complaints about the movie in general), is that Homura's actions were completely out of character. This misunderstanding probably comes from the fact that throughout this entire series of events, Homura has been trying to at first save Madoka, and later on just wanted to spend more time with her. So in that case, it doesn't make sense for her to turn "evil" and tear down all Madoka created, just for her own selfish reasons. There are also people who think she did it all to be able to spend her life with Madoka, but in turn also think that's weird, because had she accepted her fate, she would've ended up with Madoka for an eternity as well.
Well, this is how I see it.
So first of all, in the original series, we know that Homura is a pretty depressed person. She has that heart condition which forces her into a hospital bed, causing her to miss out on her social life, and ending up with no friends and all that. At one point, she even contemplates suicide, which in turn is what leads her into the witch's barrier, where she first meets Madoka. She comes to idolize Madoka, and (practically) love her, and in the end (of the first timeline), she literally gives up her life to save Madoka (by making a contract). She is set on saving Madoka, and giving her the joy of a normal life, but in the end, even after all those times she went back in time, she fails her task, as Madoka sacrifices herself to become the Embodiment of Hope (Law of the Cycle). Madoka is, funnily enough, the only one who can save Homura, and she sacrifices herself for the greater good. This would've been fine, except for the fact that Homura retains her memories thanks to her magic.
What happens because of this is that Homura feels abandoned and worthless, because the one person she cared the most about in the universe left her all alone (this would not be a problem had she not kept her memories). In her labyrinth, she is ready to die to protect Madoka, even after such a long time. So, when she rewrites the universe, it may seem surprising and out of character, but it really isn't, is it? One major scene related to this is when Madoka is braiding Homura's hair. Homura asks her if she would sacrifice herself, and Madoka responds that she'd never do anything like that and leave her friends behind, no matter what. This is pretty big, because it shows that after all, Madoka only became the Embodiment of Hope because she was the only one who could end it all, and as such she felt it was her "duty" to do so. So Homura decides that there's only one thing to do; she needs to take on the burden that was forced upon Madoka (and in a sense, the power was only given to Madoka becasue of Homura in the first place).
Simply put, she steals the power of Madoka, and rewrites the universe to her liking instead. A universe where her friends (especially Madoka) can live a normal, happy life. So why not become a goddess like Madoka, and do good, like preventing the birth of witches and all (granted, witches still do not exist in the new universe, as far as we know). Simple; she could never take all of Madoka's power. At some point, Madoka will regain her memories and thus her power (as seen in the "overpass"). Another theory could be that once this happens, as it probably is inevitable, Homura will be Madoka's equal, and she won't be alone any longer. This is also the reason Homura is called the devil, because she rebels against a god (which is where the title comes from), just like Lucifer in "Paradise Lost".
Basically, she does not want to spend an eternity with Madoka, but make up to her. If anyone should shoulder the burden of eternity and the threat of Kyubey, it should be Homura, and Madoka should be allowed to leave a happy, normal life together with her friends and family, and not as some concept on a different plane of existance. In the end, she sacrifices herself for the one she cares about the most in the entire world, in such a way which only brings her story to a whole other level of tragic.

I'm a little leery of the upcoming Season 2 of Psycho Pass. I really liked how the first season ended, and felt really satisfied about how everything turned out. Still though, it was really popular and when the demand is there, they're gonna go ahead with it regardless. I just hope it's written well, Season 1 had some seriously amazing writing and dialogue.

Also, really digging Bakemonogatari so far. I like the animation/art design a lot, it adds a feeling of emptiness to the overall atmosphere of the show. Plus, I'd never thought I'd be able to bear an episode of anything where all that happens is two Characters sitting in the park talking, but just the way the conversations between Senjougahara and Araragi flow makes it so interesting. You get such a wide range of emotions in these conversations, the writing can be witty and flirtatious one minute but take a dark and sinister turn the next. That's really great writing IMO, and by extension it makes the characters interesting and engaging. Thumbs up so far.

Well, Seitokai Yakuindomo 2nd season ended. Not really a plot filled show (based on a 4 koma manga), but the comedy is pretty good. Perverted comedy, but not the usual cliche panty flash due to wind or something stuff that's in every other series, just jokes and innuendo. Pretty funny! Hope it gets a 3rd season!

Finished rewatching Hyouka. I enjoyed it more than I did the first time, noticing little details I missed the first time. Would still recommend this show to anyone.

Just finished Hamatora and I agree with Savepoints, it ended up being a really good series. I doubt I'll end up liking any other villain this year quite as much as I did Moral. And on the ending:
Spoiler: click to toggle I'm thinking that was Art's brother, since Moral never actually called him Art in that scene.
Also of note, Hamatora was the first project to come from Naz, who's only other work to date has been to help in the production of the Danganronpa series. If they can keep producing shows of Hamatora's quality, they could become one of the better studios, and one worth special attention whenever looking up new shows. Their next series comes out this summer, DRAMAtical Murder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GlN_oxV4oI

Also, that trailer looks pretty cool, so here's to hoping.
On a different note, these past few days I've been talking to multiple people about my habits of watching, and I've come to the conclusion that I should change some of these. For instance, one of the big ones is the fact that even if I don't really like a series, unless it's really bad, I won't drop it. I don't know why I do this though. Maybe it's because I want to see if it ever improves, or to be able to talk about it in a manner only those who watched the entire thing could. In any case, I should stop doing this, really, because as someone pointed out to me, "Entertainment is supposed to be entertaining". Might seem obvious, but apparently it wasn't for me. So yea, first to go was Mahou Sensou, at 6 episodes watched.
The second major thing was that while there aren't really any genres or tropes that I outright hate, and will make me refuse to watch something or lower the score of it, there is still the fact that I evidently don't like every genre. To be more specific, it comes down to SOL/rom-coms. I mean, really, look at my favorites and/or top-rated anime, and you'll see that most of them are pretty dark, with all of them having big supernatural or sci-fi elements. This is what I seem to enjoy the most, and as such it's not really a surprise that SOLs tend to bore me. In fact, I can find something really funny or cute, but it'll still bore me, because the only twists or anything of the sort to be expected is drama between the characters, which is also pretty similar from show to show. Because of this, I'm thinking of also dropping Sakura Trick (6 episodes watched), even though I think it's really funny. The chance that I'll watch episodes of it now and then until I finish it is rather small, seeing how many other shows I could be watching during that time, so only way I'd finish it is if I would force myself to do it.
This made me also think that I should probably sort out my list a bit. I had over 500 shows (515 plan to watch), because I simply add anything that looks even remotely interesting. So I decided to go through it and delete a bunch of different stuff. Deleted a lot of SOL/rom-coms, among other things, but decided to still keep the ones with bigger twists to them, shows I'd heard really good things about, or just shows with a score above 7.70 in general. Also deleted almost every harem and ecchi series on my list. All in all, I only deleted 71 shows. It's quite surprising (to me), that I'm actually interested enough in these last 429 shows to actually watch them at some point. So just above 10% of my plan to watch list was deleted, which is still not that much, in perspective...
Additionally, as I was writing this post, I decided to drop 3 of the shows that I had on hold: "Ah! Megami-sama!", "Servant x Service", and "Lucky Star".
So yea, this will be a new era of anime for me, which I hope is more resembling how I felt when I first started watching, as opposed to later times, where I've seem to have spent most of my time watching relatively mediocre shows.

Maybe you should just watch Psycho Pass. Not even trying to be a pain in the ass at this point, it's an amazing series.
