Here's another good video beast. It's after 380+ episodes but it's funny and spoils nothing

The thing I like/dislike about One Piece is the absurdness. Sometimes its awesome, but then sometimes you sit back and think: "Is luffy really fighting a giant cheetah in a tux with a quasi-afro"?

lol yea that's what turned me off about it the first I watched. But after an while you just get use to it. Think of wow and how cartoony it is but once you got to the core of that you just couldn't help yourself from loving it. One piece is the same. It's worth the while believe me.

Best One Piece arc is Water 7 and the followup Enies Lobby. Alabasta, Arlong and Marineford are all pretty great as well.

This video is exactly the reason why I love One Piece, I wouldn't watch it if you haven't watched much as it certainly spoils a great deal but everytime I watch it I just want to watch One Piece again!

Can someone tell me if this is the best dubbed version of one piece:

This is the dubbed version I've been watching

I'm not sure if its funimation or someone else. Can someone clear this up for me?

Edit:

Its the funimation dub. Would you guys consider it a good dub?

yes it's a good dub but get use to watching subs after 250+ episodes:). And Ryo Cp9 arc was best on character development no one can argue that. But you have to admit marineford was just so epic.

Marineford was epic but there was a lot of timewasting and it wasn't a real One Piece arc imo. Around the middle I really started missing the crew and the interactions and all that...it was great don't get me wrong, but it wasn't really why I love One Piece.

Funimation dub is good but watch subs please. The voice acting in JP OP is too magnificent to not hear.

Okay, I've got some new ones from my childhood that I had to sell when I was destitute and needed money for gas.

The Wings of Honneamise (This one has an uncomfortable scene in it, but it's not gratuitousness or titillating, and it's important to the plot, so it doesn't bother me.)
Berserk
Jin-Roh
Dragon Half
Hokuto no Ken

Most of these were released in the states when the dub/sub debate actually meant something. These were done when the dubbing was terrible, and you were better off just reading the subtitles. It actually took years for the dubbing process to get up to today's standard, which is why I took the time to start learning how to speak japanese back in the early part of the millennium.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is finally subbed online.

This makes me a very happy man.

I‘ve recently watched Sword Art Online. Really good shonen for anyone interested. I love the concept. Basically, a bunch of people are stuck in a Virtual Reality (think Holodeck style) MMORPG where if you die in the game you die in real life. It's fast paced and does interesting things with the concept. It suffers at some points from the "miracle" plothole and some of the characters get overlooked at times for the sake of advancing the plot or developing the main characters but those things can be overlooked by how well the show is executed. Really like the action. It's ongoing with episodes streamed every Saturday on Crunchyroll (you can make a free account for 14 days and all you need is an email account and a credit card to sign up and don't worry they won't charge you any hidden fees.)

So what would your guys' choice be for most epic anime fight ever?

I'd say yusuke vs sensui or yusuke vs younger toguro (dark tournament).

Other ones I thought were great:

Goku vs. Majiin Vegeta (maybe the best dbz fight)

Luffy vs. Rob Lucci (enies lobby)

Kenshin vs Saito (or rather, Hitokiri Battousai vs Saito) from Rurouni Kenshin. It takes place entirely on one episode, is intense, and shows you can have a great battle that doesn't spawn multiple episodes.

Kenpachi vs Nnoitra (Bleach), any of the main fights from Samurai Champloo, Final fight between Vicious and Spike (Cowboy Bebop), and Kazuma vs Ryuhou (Scryed). There are probably other great ones that I've seen but those are the ones that stick out in my memory right now.
