There are just shows I've heard amazing things about and want to watch... but just can't really get into it. Psycho-Pass is one of those. Same with Madoka, but that was basically shoved down my throat by Dave. |

Actually, for anyone that does want to check out Psycho Pass, I'd suggest waiting until this summer, where they're remaking the first season as a series of 11 one hour long episodes, that'll include extra scenes and better animation. |

Yeah, not really a fan of those kinds of shows. I'm kind of the opposite of savepoints, I prefer romantic comedies and slice of life series over real serious/dramatic/horror/psychological series. I'm not against shows with action in them (Bleach up until they beat Aizen, and they should have ended there, Negima, etc) or even some mystery (Hyouka and the one that takes place prior to WWI I think it was, and in a made up country by Italy), but other shows, I just don't care for. I don't mind a little drama thrown in, but when it's a staple of the series, I tend to drop it. Especially when the drama is built around stupid misunderstandings. Comedy around misunderstandings is fine, but the drama tends to be over the top. Why don't I really care for the drama? Had too much drama in high school and junior high, and even now. Why would I want MORE of it? So I stick with more upbeat series. Like Seitokai Yakuindomo, D-Frag, and Ranma 1/2. Edited by ACDCFan89, Apr 3 2014, 04:53 PM.

Yup, and I think they're going to air season 2 in the Fall, which I'll definitely look forward too. I'm slightly uneasy about it though, season 1 had a terrific plot progression IMO, and like I said earlier I was very satisfied with the ending. I just hope they focus on making it a natural extension of season and not trying to go too far with it. |

It could definitely be a show that you just have to be in a certain mood to watch. It's pretty dark for the most part, and deals with a pretty grim subject matter. It's also 22 episodes, but the writing is incredible and the payoff is great. Here's a link: http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/psycho-pass-online |

There's a lack of 1080p on that site. I'll just torrent it and get to it eventually. |

I'm not sure how many of you guys are using kissanime i almost stopped using it because of the annoying ad block stopper script. So if you want to use that site and have no ads you can manually add a small script in adblock. If you want, you pm me on steam and i'l tell you how to do it. Edited by Pong, Apr 3 2014, 06:21 PM.

I'm okay with the ads. I watch in fullscreen so they don't bother me. |

UPDATE! Started Clannad, I can easily already see why the show gets all the love it deserves after three episodes. I'm expecting great things from this show. Started Kill la Kill, I'm not really that interested in it. It really reminds me of Gurenn Lagann (Which was meh), but I have to check out more to actually find out. Tried to start watching Psycho-Pass again, didn't get very far with that (About half of the second episode was all I had the attention span to watch). Right now does not seem like the time for it. |

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou 1st episode came out. And it is hilarious! The characters are all good and interesting (oddly enough, the old woman is probably the most interesting of the bunch), a similar set up to Sakaraso (or whatever it was called) where the main character winds up living in an apartment complex (Japanese style), but if what I have heard is true, none of the BS drama that infected Sakuraso that made it painful to watch. Also kind of watched Blade and Soul. Think something similar to Queen's Blade with a ton of women warriors (though not as badly proportioned) but less emphasis on the ecchi stuff and more on the action (opening scene showed the main character slicing 3 people's throats and blood spray everywhere). Not really my thing with the heavy war drama. Probably won't watch. |

So, spring season started, so here are my first impressions of the ones that started today. Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou: First thing you notice is the art. It's amazingly beautiful, and the way the entire thing is animated only adds to that, as well as some of the comedic scenes (sort of similar to Noragami in that regard). However, speaking of comedy, that's definitely what's dragging the show down for me (as of now). Practically all jokes are sex-related, and while there are almost no visuals to go with it (it's mostly that they just talk about sex-related things), I can see this getting very annonying, very quickly. Other than that, some of the characters are ok, but Hanazawa's character definitely takes the price in this one! First impression: 7/10 (would be 6/10 if not for art) --------------------------------- Blade and Soul: So... Tons of fanservice, and most of the episode was just showing off Aruka's crazy combat skills. This really seems like it's just here for those who enjoy the game, and want more of it, cuz so far there's like no story at all, except tons of revenge... First impression: 5/10. Sub-par as hell. --------------------------------- I WAS gonna watch WIXOSS earlier as well, but ended up having some troubles, and when I had time to watch anime, I watched Kami-Nai with Zyan, so I guess I'll watch WIXOSS tomorrow. Speaking of which, Akuma no Riddle is also supposed to have aired, but there are neither torrents nor streams for it, which is weird... |
