Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii ended, but it was entertaining. Very nice art, drama of course, but also a lot of comedy too. Wasn't great, but much better than the typical shoujo BS that is usually aired. 7.5/10 for this series.

Sabagebu! just premiered. A shoujo series, but also comedy and military too. So far, it's one of those 4-Koma series with little comedic snippets. It's also pretty funny with it's randomness too. Keeper past ep 1 so far. And the main protagonist looks to be the "straight man", so to speak.

Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara ended, and it was okay, but really confusing ending. Supposedly everything that happened only happened in a digital universe of sorts with only the proganist supposedly knowing what happened, but in the end, everyone remembered everything I guess? Yeah, started out interesting, and then got pretty confusing later on. 6.5/10.

Mekakucity Actors - Final Impressions - (8/10):
Ok, I really liked this, but at the same time I feel a bit disappointed. I didn't want much more from this series than some of the usual SHAFT tropes, as well as seeing the songs used in the series, and they managed to deliver on all of that, however I believe the story could've been executed a bit better. As it stands now, it's like the show was really made for people already familiar with the works (the music videos, LNs and so on), so there's little to no explanation about a lot of things that happen. They also spent a lot of time introducing each character (which is not bad in itself), which left little time to progress the actual story properly, and as such the ending felt a bit rushed and anticlimactic.
---------------------------------

I also watched the first 3 episodes of Korra (book 3), and I have to say I'm really liking it so far. The "twists" they're pulling this time around, what with the bending and spirits and all, together with the fact that they're now actually traveling to other places in the world is more than enough to get me hooked, tbh.
---------------------------------

Finally, I also started streaming again (makes it easier for me to watch longer shows, or rewatch anything whatsoever), so now I've almost finished Death Note (will probably finish the rest today by myself, since Tien only really wanted to watch until episode 25), and then we'll rewatch Madoka + Rebellion, Shinsekai Yori, and finally get around to the WAD again (Phantom, this time), so that's all good. Now I just gotta put some time into finishing the shows from the spring season, as well...

Finished Death Note now, and I'm quite happy with it. The majority of it (up until episode 25) was absolutely great, and I loved the whole thing between Light and L, and even though I happened to know about a certain big spoiler, and that the show would go sort of downhill past that episode, it wasn't all too bad, and the ending was really good. Actually, it's been some time since I watched anything with an ending I was actually satisfied with, so having Death Note end this way feels really good, tbh. I give it an 8/10 (would've been 9/10 without the bad part near the end there).

Death Note is one of my all time favorites. It was really the first thriller anime I got into and at the time (at least for me) it was so different seeing the chessmaster character as the protagonist. Or in this case, as the protagonist and antagonist. I loved how it would show the thought process of both. As for the second half, I generally liked Near and Mello. It wasn't as good since they didn't seem to have the same chemistry as Light and L, but they were interesting to watch.

I thought Near was really good (not as good as L, but still), however, I couldn't bring myself to like Mello even the sligthest, so...

Also, just watched Nisemonogatari. Was pretty good, but pacing was pretty weird, and there was a lot of fanservice (which I happen to know isn't really in any of the other ones), so I give it a 8/10.

So, Kyoukai no Kanata will be getting a movie (sequel?) in spring 2015. That's good, especially if it is a sequel, cuz they really gotta make up for that ending...

So, summer season started for me now, and so I'll post my impressions of these ones as well, I guess...

Glasslip - First Impressions - (6/10):
To be honest, I wasn't really expecting anything from this show besides shiny art, and it certainly has that going for it. However, I feel like everything else about this was a huge let down (and this coming from someone with zero expectations). Sure, I may not be the biggest fan of SOL shows, but Glasslip was not funny at all, and there was this sudden drama that kept appearing out of absolutely nowhere, which just felt forced and dumb.
---------------------------------

Tokyo Ghoul - First Impressions - (8/10):
I'm really impressed by this. I absolutely love the darker tone it has going, as well as all the gory stuff. This was also quite an intense episode, so the pacing was actually really good. As long as they don't go all "shounen-friendship is stronger than any of these bad things" I think this will turn out really good. Also hoping we get to see more of Rize. Gotta love that psychotic Hanazawa!

Yeah, just watched Glasslip too. Not entirely sure what the drama is even supposed to be about because it's just so vague. Also, chickens. Why? I don't know, but, chickens. Yeah!

Yeah, I normally like shows like this, but I have to give it a 5/10. I'll give it another episode or two to see if it goes anywhere, but it's on the verge already for me.

Edit*
You write that Glasslip was dissapointing, and gave it a 6/10. Yet Ghoul, which you praise, you also give a 6/10. What?

Lol, my bad. Ghoul is supposed to be 8/10!

Good to know I'm not the only one regarding Glasslip, as most other people seem to think it's amazing...

5 minutes into Rail Wars and we have 4 overly used cliche'd characters. The MC is the typical nice and average guy with slightly perverted tendancies. A man hating girl that will probably end up having a crush on the MC or the next guy and has to prove herself to be better than anyone else. The jock, who is good at physical activities and friendly, but a dunderhead for academics. And last and probably the least, the typical big boobed (like watermelons of the large variety glued to the chest type) love interest of the MC that has pink hair (seriously, what's up with that? Why pink hair?), good at academics, and sucks at sports.

That said, it's more entertaining than Glasslips.

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - Final Impressions - (8/10):
Really enjoyed this. To me, the first episode was kinda meh, but the more I watched the better it became, and that held true all the way to the end. Great characters, which also added to the comedy, and overall it was really feel-good pretty much all of the time, which was great, since drama can often be very hit-or-miss when it comes to these kinds of shows. The ending wasn't really what I expected either, but I still feel rather satisfied with it.

I agree with Savepoint on both Tokyo Ghoul and Kawai Complex (its english name). For Ghoul, It did a great job of setting the tone immediately and there was no filler.

As for Kawai Complex, it really succeeded based on the characters, all of which had good personalities. In particularly, I really liked Ritsu's. She was one of the best portrayed introverts I've seen in media in awhile. That talk she had with Shiro about being how she likes people, she just wish they wouldn't so loud was possibly my favorite moment in the series. Shiro could be considered a great character too. Rather than a 2 dimensional pervert, he actually was pretty good at reading people and helping others. They made the pervert character someone who you'd actually like to spend time with, rather than just finding annoying.

Bishojou Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal - First Impressions - (7/10):
So like, I barely remember anything concrete from the original series, since I only saw it now and then when I was much younger, so I can't really compare this to the original. There were however 3 things that came to mind as I was watching this. First of all, the fact that they kinda did the art in a 90s style. I'm sure a lot of people think this is cool and really appreciate it, but I'm one of those who didn't like how anime looked back then at all, so... The second thing for me was Usagi's VA. I mean, I guess they thought it was cool and all to get the original VA back, but I just can't stand her. Finally, the third thing for me was the fact that they changed the OP. To me, the original opening is almost iconic, and now the new is just like... bad...
