I think one very interesting thing he put a lot of focus on is "we should stop catering only to our Japanese audience. Japan is a really small part of the world, and we'd like to have the entire world in mind when creating UtD". Like, what does this actually mean in terms of animation and writing? Since he pretty much talks shit about a lot of modern anime and moe shit in the same post, I guess pretty much the opposite of that.

Catching up on Hamatora. So far, after finishing the sixth episode, I like the first season a lot more. It is nice that the second season has more of a plot but it seems to have lost its charm. I liked how the first season wasn't so serious all the time. There were a couple grim moments but it didn't stay grim for entire episodes at a time, or for a whole string of episodes. It feels like season 2 takes itself too seriously. Also, the art was better in my opinion when it was really bright and colorful. And Moral was just a better villain. All that being said, the second season is still interesting.

I think it's kinda funny you should say that, because pretty much the entirety of episode 7 is straight up comedic filler. Not saying the remainder of the series will be like that, but that's the last thing I saw, so thought that was kinda funny. Then again, the episode itself was so out of place. Changing from the constant dark tone this season has had, to this light hearted comedy stuff really threw the pacing off, so kinda hoping they just stick to one style.

In a sense, I kinda like the change in tone, tho. Not only because I generally prefer darker shows, but because season 2 builds on the first season, and it ended with a really dark tone. The second season instantly going all light-hearted and shit would feel kinda weird. As far as antagonists go, it's kinda... I don't know... I mean, Moral was a really good villain, in my opinion, so he's hard to top, but I think the new one (should prob regard his name as a spoiler, but idk) has very good motivations, at least, and he's a very cool character, what with the access he has to all the different powers, as well as his innate power.

In the end, I still think both seasons are sort of on the same level, because the first season had really weird pacing for like half the series...

Rooster Teeth, although well known and famous for Red vs Blue, have done a fantastic job with RWBY (which is now well into season 2).

I haven't watched like anything of that, but isn't it pretty much just awesomely animated fight scenes? Like, I don't remember clearly, but I think I read somewhere that one of the guys who worked on Dead Fantasy (kinda cool fight-animation based on a bunch of video game characters, you should check it out if you just want to watch some mindless fighting, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHA3opXjcd0) is also one of the animators for RWBY, so that's cool.

In other news, UTD has reached its minimum goal, which is awesome! Doubt they'll reach the second goal tho, which is 1.16M.

There are a lot of cool fight scenes, but there is also a lot of character interaction and development, despite being at most, 15 minute long episodes. Actually, a lot more development and plot (not "plot" but real plot) than a lot of Japanese series out there. Check it out sometime.

Lol. But ya, might check it out sometime, since it's also a bit shorter, but I guess we'll see.

Well, there is SOME fan service, but it's not the usual sort that you see.

Aldnoa is turning out to be as expected. It seems good so far so i'l look past the silly event of episode 9 and 10.

The only thing that keeps surprising me with how freaking good it is is Barakamon, it's awesome and i will miss it when it's done.

Anyone know where I can watch Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun episode 10 english subbed? All I can find is Spanish.

Well, it's available on CR atm, but since you ask, I guess that's not an option for you. Other than that, only place I can find it with english subs atm is Nyaa (torrent), but that's also HorribleSubs, so you know...

Then again, it aired like just a few hours ago, so if you wait, it'll probably be subbed and put on KissAnime in a bit.

Still waiting for your explanation on this... But yea, Aldnoah is actually shaping up to be one of my favorites of this season.

Also watched the Kill la Kill special, and I was kinda surprised that it wasn't this "fun"-type episode about their post-series life, as that was the impression I got from PVs and artwork and all. Instead, we got a pretty decent post-series story episode, with the same quality music and actually pretty amazing animation (reminded me a lot of BRS's animation style, but with less CGI). All in all, a 7/10, I'd say.

I'll try crunchyroll, but the streaming sites I usually use, tend to have the english subbed versions up pretty quickly.

Don't know if you use CR usually (again, assume not since I guess finding Gekkan wouldn't have been a problem in that case), so I sent you a 48-hour guest pass, so you can actually watch it in HD and whatnot (I never use these passes for anything, so even if you don't actually want it, I don't really care <.<).
