The thing is that as opposed to Kenichi, Naruto is one of the "big three" (along with OP and Bleach, iirc), so having that come to an end is sort of special in its own way. |

Well, Kenichi, while not one of the big three, was still pretty big. Had been going on for 12 years and almost 600 chapters. So it was pretty big in it's own right. But for Naruto, seriously, the last arc that was the war arc, lasted for 300 chapters! It was ridiculous. |

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso It's not bad. Some good comedy, a bit of drama (actual things for legit drama, not the misunderstanding bull crap that is otherwise prevalent in most series), and classical music. My only complaint so far, is the character design. Not a fan of it. But otherwise, I liked it. Legend of Korra Season 4 episode 2. We get some insight as to what Korra had been up to since we last saw her, and it seems like PTSD. For the ending of the episode, all I will say is, FINALLY! Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu. What can I say about this. Oh yeah. It's Power Rangers based on twin tails (pigtails). No, I'm not joking. That is the premise of the show. Oh, and the character is a male lead that has a disturbing obsession with twin tails. And thanks to a bracelet, he pulls a Ranma 1/2 and turns into a girl with twin tails in a power rangers-like scenario. It wasn't bad, but it was very strange. That put such a smile on my face! I can't wait to see what they'll actually end up doing with that. Also, this entire season is starting out pretty powerful... I mean, I don't know if I'd say "Korra Alone" is as good as "Zuko Alone", but damn, if it didn't make you feel a bit... |

I really need to watch past the first season. For some reason i have a habit of putting some animes off for a really long time and i can only watch a few parts of them before getting bored. SAO Accel world Durarara!! Steins Gate Fate/zero I really can't watch more than 3 episodes or something of these shows in special before getting bored as hell. But i can binge watch some shitty anime for all day long. I guess Tengil has particular taste. Edited by Pong, Oct 10 2014, 06:59 PM.

I watched the first episode of Ore Twintails and it was pretty much what I wanted the show to be. Over the top super sentai comedy that doesn't take itself seriously. It did get a bit more ecchi than I expected with the humor but it didn't push it too far. The super moves were pretty good, as was Tail Red's design. Judging by the opening, the designs of the other tails should be decent too. Also, the main villain looks kinda like Shredder. That's always a nice bonus. |

Like I said, not bad, but strange. Especially the obsession with twin tails. I'll keep watching it for now. |

I kinda have the same problems. Like, I'll start watching something, but then for some reason totally forget about it, and once I remember I just can't find the motivation to pick it up again. At the same time, no matter how good a series is, I just can not marathon it. After 2 or 3 episodes, even if I'm really into it, my attention span just breaks down, and I have to do something else... That's why streaming is sometimes easier for me, because it "forces" me to stay focused on the show, so I can't do a bunch of random shit, and I can actually finish the series. It's also why I've come to like watching stuff as they air more. Like, when there's a ton of stuff to watch each week (or day, like today), then it's still kind of a pain (I have like 22 shows going, atm, since I haven't dropped any yet), but it still feels easier in a way, than having 24 episodes to watch in one go... |

Donten ni Warau - First Impressions - (6/10): This was pretty much just OK. For me, it mostly comes down to the fact that it didn't really have anything special to get you hooked, so to speak. It has pretty art, and was somewhat funny at, but at the same time it's trying to throw all this drama at you, and it's just uninteresting, because you don't care about the characters at all at this point. I don't know, maybe it'll pick up a lot once the actual story gets going (because at this point, there is basically none), but we'll just have to see... --------------------------------- Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu. - First Impressions - (7/10): Well, I more or less completely agree with Raine on this one. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be, though I could do without the physical sex jokes and all at the start. Seriously though, it's great that it doesn't take itself seriously, like, at all, and at the same time the Tail Gear is actually pretty awesome. So, I guess you could say this show is pretty much Daimidaler, if you replace all the ecchi stuff with twintails. Also, it seems we've already been introduced to best girl, so that's great! No doubt Aika will be the best character in the show. Can't wait to see how they go on with this one! --------------------------------- Trinity Seven - First Impressions - (7/10): If I'm gonna be honest, I did not expect this show to be this good. At all. Sure, it starts out with the MC fondling his cousins boobs, but then it turns into this heroic (loose use of the word) tale of him saving his loved ones, and becoming a powerful mage in the process. One of the things I especially liked about this is that even though it has very harem-y humor and such, the harem is actually integrated into the plot, and used as a plot device. It's not there just because, but he needs that harem to do this. To me, that just kinda forgives a lot of stuff surrounding harems. On top of it all, we already have competition between two of the characters for best girl (Levi and shower girl). --------------------------------- Edited by savepoints, Oct 11 2014, 03:49 PM.

Which ones have you been watching? Cuz there are quite a few that are anything but boring, in my opinion. --------------------------------- Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso - First Impression - (7/10): This was a beautiful first episode. Both in terms of art, and story. I didn't really expect the part about his mother, but I guess it works, and I really like the other characters as well. The one thing that I don't really like is part of the art, namely the lips and eyes. They just look so... out of place. In any case, even if most of this feels very predictable (both the romance, and the overall progression with him playing the piano), I still feel like it'll be worth watching. --------------------------------- Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - First Impression - (8/10): I could really get used to the 50-minute format (too bad it's over now). Anyway, the Unlimited Budget Works continues, and upholds the same amazing quality as the prologue. Seriously, watching this makes me sad when I think about how not all series are this well-animated. As for the episode itself, I loved seeing the events of the prologue from Shirou's perspective, and the Saber vs. Lancer fight was awesome. Rin is still best girl, and Saber's face when Shirou used the command seal was just priceless. I'm really excited to see the rest of the servants (not as much the masters, but who knows), especially since I'm really interested in how Berserker is in F/SN, seeing who is master is (I've only seen F/Z, and the berserker there is the only thing I can think of in that context, which makes imagining berserker with his master in F/SN really weird...). This is definitely the one that's hardest to wait a week for every time. Unlimited Hype Works continues! --------------------------------- Terra Formars - On Hold - (7/10): I've seen images from episode 3, and I can't even be bothered to watch it. The censoring in this show makes it next to unwatchable, so I'm putting it on hold until the BD release, or CR's uncensored stream, whichever comes first. --------------------------------- Oh right, we got some new info regarding second season of Tokyo Ghoul. The author has been starting up a sequel manga titled "Tokyo Ghoul: Re", which follows a new main character, HOWEVER, this will not be the source material for season 2. Instead, s2 will get an anime-original story drafted by the author. So I guess some parts might be the same, but we're gonna get more Kaneki (I mean, we still would've, since they haven't adapted all of the first manga yet), instead of a completely new main character. HYPE. Edited by savepoints, Oct 12 2014, 08:07 AM.

Girlfriend BETA The entire plot of the first episode was one girl trying to return a photo to another. The description of this series says it's a romance series. But unless it goes yuri or the MC pops up in episode 2, it's only a slice of life. Also, a Japanese trying to speak Japanese with a French accent (and French too) doesn't work very well... |

Just watched this earlier today and I loved it. There's just something about saying weird, silly, or crazy lines in a deadpon, straight forward manner that always makes me laugh. Especially loved it when he said, "Why is there a stripper in my room? It's not my birthday." I think I'm going to really like the comedy in this. |

Hopefully, they'll be able to keep up with the same comedy in a "non-intrusive" way, so to speak, after the show gets going... |
