Oh, and it is confirmed that the Avatar comics will continue. Whether or not they'll do the Korra ones, I don't know. But the Last Airbender ones will continue.
That's nice. Maybe some day, in the far future we'll get to see those animated. Better yet, they may actually make a Kyoshi comic. One can only hope.

Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai

A harem series with a twist to it. Plenty of comedy, but each character also has their own past (the only one they didn't do much was the best friend, but he was more of a side character anyways). The main character is a good guy who helps out people and at times sees bits of a future that could be. Because of this, he ends up saving a girl who otherwise would have been killed by an out of control vehicle. They end up forming a club together in order to make school life a happy one, and by doing so, they get several other people involved. The main character, isn't what I would call weak, he's more of a quiet guy that'll help when and where he can, but at times get's pulled into some awkward situations, like having to dress up as a girl.

The ending for awhile, seemed like it would be a bitter sweet one, but turned out okay. It was overall a pretty entertaining series. While not perfect, it did pretty well. 8/10

Man, for some reason, I got really annoyed when the other dude talked...

Anyway, I think he's pretty spot-on about the whole deal with the finale. Even with the confirmation from Bryan, when you watch through the entire series, you don't feel like these two have that kind of relationship. It's much more of a friendly (girly) type of relationship, and at no point is there any real indication that there is actual love between them, so yea...

Yeah. I don't mind the relationship, but story wise, outside of a few hints spread out through 2 seasons, it basically comes out of no where. Sisterly or real close friends, yeah, that was shown. But romance, very little was given for it.

The Charlotte anime didn't sound all that interesting at first when they were describing the characters. Seemed like a generic, opposites attract story (an idea that I've never been particularly fond of). But then he compared to a Key storyline and that got my interest. I'll give it a shot.

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru - Final Impressions - (8/10):
Wow. Having this go from something that I initially was sort of unsure about whether or not I even wanted to watch it, to something of this quality, is pretty amazing. I love how the more you watched, the more you realized that this wasn't another "perfect story" about magical girls, but another one of more "realistic" stature, a bit like Madoka was. At the same time, it's interesting to see the almost opposing views Yu3 and Madoka take on the whole thing, as Yu3 looks at everything with more optimism, and in the end, that develops to be the overarching theme, as opposed to misery and loss. I'm not all too thrilled about the happy-go-lucky ending we got, even if you can argue that there was still a loss, going by the theory that Yuuna is operating under a new Hero System. Still, would've liked it more if everything wasn't simply thrown out the window like that.

Recently picked up on a manga seried called Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari. The basic summary is an otaku 20 something opens a book and gets dragged into a fantasy RPG type world where, along with 3 others, becomes a Hero. The other three heroes are the Heroes of the Sword, the Bow, and the Lance, which are highly respected. The protagonist is the Hero of the Shield, which outside of certain groups, is thought of as basically a fake hero. Really liking it so far.

I am the bone of my wait
Stalling is my body, and postponing is my blood
I have waited over a thousand hours
Unknown to streams
Nor known to fansubs
Have withstood time to wait for many episodes
Yet those eyes shall never see anything
So, as I pray, Unlimited Wait Works

In the meantime... Speaking of manga and stuff. You know, since I'm sort of behind on Grisaia atm, the more I read others thoughts on it, the more dismayed I feel about watching it. Reason being that if you watch it as is, it's probably a pretty decent series. Nothing too spectacular, but it's good enough. The problem comes when you know about the VN. See, in the anime, they adapt every single route, instead of focusing on one or a couple, so they cut a lot of stuff from every route to fit them all in 1 cour. Apparently, the VN is supposed to be absolutely mindwrecking in terms of emotion and shit like that, and it's almost to the point where I kinda feel like just playing the VN (which would be the first time I'd play one, not counting a little bit of F/SN), but at the same time I don't know if I have the willpower to sit through 50+ hours of that... Also, the rest of the franchise is apparently getting adapted later on, but that's gonna be 2 novels in 1 season. Difference there being that the sequel novels apparently only have 1 route, because they assume you're in a relationship at that point.

Speaking of VNs, another LPer I follow called Millbeeful (does different games than Toe, like Minecraft and Mario Kart) did a LP of Katawa Shoujou. And he makes it pretty damn funny. Check it out if you want to. Also, he did censor the images that showed nudity, so none of that. But his humor more than makes up for it. One of my favorite LPs since I stumbled upon Toe's Berserking Elf LP.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - Final Impressions - (9/10):
Waiting until April is gonna kill me. This was definitely one of the best of the season, along with Parasyte. It's close to everything I love about Fate/Zero, and ufotable just never fails to impress. The one and only reason this doesn't get a 10 from me is because it lacked that "emotional punch", so to speak. I expect this to come in the second cour, but for now there hasn't really been such a gut-wrenching scene that pretty much all my 10s have. The animation is still some of the best I've seen, the characters are awesome, and it's still the same old Fate/. I can't wait for 2nd cour.
---------------------------------

Grisaia no Kaijutsu - Final Impressions - (7/10):
To think that I initially thought that this would rival Parasyte in terms of quality. Oh, how wrong I was, it seems. The worst thing about this show is definitely that they tried to fit every single route into a 1-cour series. This means 5 girls all need to have their story explained and their issues resolved in a total of 13 episodes only. Even though I haven't read the VN, I can easily notice how they've cut a lot of stuff to fit it all in there, and it's really unfortunate, because a lot of these things could have such a severe emotional impact on you, but it just falls flat, most of the time. Even when the story is explained relatively well (like in the best arc, imo, Yumi's), then a lot of stuff is cut instead (the explanation for everything that happens later), so it makes it seem like everything just comes out of nowhere, which once again just ruins the moment. Still though, it's a decent watch, with very good characters (even though they aren't fleshed out as much as you'd want them to be), and I'll probably end up watching the other two adaptions that are being produced at the moment.

Yeah just finished Grisaia myself. And you can tell they did cut out some stuff (like with the evil mother whom Yuuji took out, there are a few variants of that ending) and the one who only had 1 episode devoted to her was a cop out.

But 7/10 seems about fair. It wasn't anything great (and I admit I skipped episode 12 intentionally as I do not care for things that extreme), but it was okay. And I too will catch the next 2 adaptations, with hopefully fleshing out the characters and their relationships further.

Finished some older shows during down time on vacation, lez go:

Katanagatari: Final impressions (8/10)

I will say, I did enjoy this show a lot. It did A LOT of things well, especially the interaction of the two main characters. The simplistic art style was nice, and there really was no point I'd call myself bored. Sadly, the last two episodes were... out there. This would be rated higher if it was taken in a different direction, it left too much of a bitter taste in my mouth. Worth at least one watch, but don't expect it to be a perfect masterpiece.

Steins;Gate: Final impressions (10/10) and OVA/movie impressions (9/10)

Now I've been putting off Steins;Gate for... two years. Mostly because I CANNOT handle cringe worthy material in shows. But after powering through the first six episodes or so, I finally started to see the true colors of the show. There were no really stupid time travel theories, as things made as much sense as they could, and the characters were everything but boring. I see why Kurisu has a special place in everyone's hearts, as they probably gave her the best show out of any female character in any show I've ever seen. The OVA was lighthearted and expanded on future events, and the movie was basically the Disappearance of Okabe Rintarou, but did an amazing job of showing Okabe's perspective through the entire show from another person's eyes. Overall, I'd say I love this show a lot more, and it deserves all the respect it gets.
