Aldnoah.Zero season 2: First impressions

Well, the amount of ass pulling pulled to fix what the end of season one was phenomenal, and actually made a little bit of sense. It seems to have the same vibe as the first season, let's just hope it doesn't end in a train wreck like last one. Not really much else to say about it.

Durararararararararararararararara x2: First impressions

Good old Durarara (Will be referred to as Drrr because I'm too lazy to do any more A's) A good continuation of season one, and the first episode has a whole lot of references to other shows such as Aldnoah.Zero and Mahouka. Like dis:

Season is set up to be pretty good sequel wise, I'm hopeful to see where things are going. Still has it's gold old charm.

Seiken Tsukai no World Break
Think, Aesthetics of a Rogue Hero kind of set up, only instead of fantasy worlds, it's past lives. And the main character, unlike the others, has 2 (usually it's 1). Only he's not as non-chalant as the MC of Rogue Hero.

7/10. May be another typical of the harem genre, or it could actually diverge and be something different. Good or bad different, remains to be seen. But it does has possibilities.

Seiken Tsukai no World Break - First Impression - (6/10):
This was... not all that good, I've gotta say. For starters that was like one of the most clusterfuck starts of an anime I've seen in a while (from a show that doesn't want to be all mind-boggling and stuff), the action scenes were pretty mediocre, and I really hate Satsuki. Every time she opened her mouth it was just something obnoxious, and all she did was scream, all the damn time. Does it have potential to be something better, with its premise? Definitely. Somehow, I doubt they'll pull that off before episode 3 though, in which case I'm dropping this.

Tokyo Ghoul: Final Impressions (7/10)

Slow show, but the last two episodes were phenomenal in showing what Kaneki went through, and how he matured out of it. These two episodes gave me high hopes of what could happen with the second season... Speaking of which...

Tokyo Ghoul √A: First Impressions (8/10)

Continuation and wrap up of the battle that took place at the end of season 1, Kaneki makes some decisions that I'm questioning, although his total badassness is really nice and I love how he's embracing it. Bar is set high, because I know the show has the potential to pull something amazing off.

Death Parade - First Impression - (8/10):
Had sort of mixed feelings after this episode, but ultimately decided that it leaned more towards an 8 than a 7. See, the thing here is that I constantly compared the episode to Death Billiards, and in pretty much every aspect, the latter came out on top. However, I think it's important to note the difference between the series and OVA here. Death Billiards focus entirely on the story of those two, and since that is its sole focus, they can do much more with it (even in the same amount of time). Death Parade, on the other hand, seems like it's going to be focus a bit more on Queen Decim, using the games to tell that story, or simply weaving them into the episodes to create some of these really tense moments. The thing I'm mostly hoping for here is pretty much a conflicting match-up. This is something I think Death Billiards did very well, in that you might not have been certain who to root for until near the end. I also think some of this first couple's "revelations" that came up felt kind of rushed, like they were only included for the sake of being included, but were never added upon in any way. Still though, having high hopes for this nonetheless.
---------------------------------
I just watched it and I can see why you'd have mixed feelings on it. The sudden revelations felt really rushed and in my opinion, that hurt what was a really interesting setup for it all. After the first episode only, I'm leaning more to a 7 than an 8. However, there's still ton of potential and I'm hoping that the first episode was only done in this manner to get all the needed details out of the way quickly. Now that the main reveal is over, it can settle down.

Catching up on shows, took me long enough.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Part 1 (Final Impressions) 9/10:

Unlimited Budget Works does what it does best, and looks pretty while keeping the main plot points of the Unlimited Blade Works route of the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. Overall, I'd say it was well done, but something seemed off the entire time and how it feeled extremely lighthearted for the majority of the show, outside of the critical scenes. I guess that's the VN work coming into play, as that was how it was set up too, so I can't really complain about that as much as I'd like to. Overall, and outstanding job with the first half, and I expect things to be like Fate/Zero in the second season where there's no downtime in shit happening, as we've basically gotten to the point in the plot where there's no time for messing around.

Hanamonogatari (Final Impressions) 8/10:

Kanburu's arc that aired over the summer, taking place after the main storyline. It was really nice to see Kanburu's problem finally resolved, and the changes that have come to the characters after Araragi and the main crew graduated. As usual, heavy dialogue and pretty scenes to be expected from the Monogatari series, but something just felt off the entire time watching it. I guess it was due to the fact there weren't too many lighthearted jokes coming out of Araragi since he wasn't there for the majority of it, but it was nice to see Kanburu getting some love she deserved. I'll get to Tsukimonogatari eventually, have to take breaks from this series to not get overwhelmed.

So how are you guys enjoying Nanatsu no Taizai?
Hate to say it but it happens to be one of those shows I didn't keep up with during the season. Which sucks, since it's really good, it's just that now I gotta find the time to pick it up again in between everything else.

Also, has anyone of you seen Toriko?

Just watched the second episode of Death Parade. It was a massive improvement in storytelling compared to the first one. It gives me a lot of hope for how this series will go.

Some of it. Watched a few episodes, and it runs similar to say, One Piece and such. Truth be told, they even did a special crossover with One Piece and DBZ (though they REALLY nerfed Goku in it). It's not bad, but if you're not into those kinds of series, you probably won't really enjoy it much.

Rolling Girls:
The way it's set up (humor and action) is a lot like Zvezda is, and no annoying fan service. And it has an interesting set up too. 2 episodes in, I give a solid 8.5/10.

Junketsu no Maria:
Yeah there's ecchi to it, but if I hadn't read the synopsis on it before starting this, I wouldn't be sure where the hell it's going. Honestly, I'm still not sure where it's going. Maria is a witch who doesn't like wars or fighting, yet is living during the 100 years war between France and England (she live in France). She has a succubus familiar whom she has go to the English camp in order to "wear them out" to help with avoiding the fighting. And the nearby village she has friends there. End of episode 2 she is at the mercy of Archangel Michael (the Japanese always say it a certain way, in that they say it "me-kai-ell" whether it's referring to the Archangel or some guy who is named Michael) who actually brought up a few points to her, and she tried to pick a fight. And lost pretty badly.

I honestly don't know where this series is going, and I don't know if the series know where it's going either. I'll give it a few more episodes to see what happens.

Ah well, guess I'll just pass on that. I've been playing this quiz game a bit, and the anime-themed questions tend to often be about popular battle-shounen, and a lot of the questions made Toriko seem like a pretty funny series, but then when I saw that it actually was that kind of show, I felt it'd be safer to ask first. Worst thing for me is that for some of these, at least for like Bleach and Fairy Tail (kinda), I actually think the concept is good and all (not so much for DBZ or OP), but the "no end in sight" thing kinda ruins it for me. I've heard a lot of people say that HxH(2011) is very good, even if you don't like those kind of shows, so that's the main reason I want to watch that the most.

It does have a twist that isn't used too much, which is that Toriko is searching for the ultimate ingredient to make food with. Kind of like how Luffy and gang search for One Piece to become the King of the Pirates and Goku is on a never ending search for a good fight/saving the world, and Naruto's quest (though now over) to be the Hokage.
